ironic...I have a friend from Australia who is a massive fan but never seen them live, so she decides to fly over to London especially for the Roundhouse gig.
Was talking to the travel agent the day before this announcement.....
Now she gets to them twice, but thats an expensive pair of tickets!

Apparently Soundwave is cancelled!

http://www.voltagemedia.com.au/news/201 ... -cancelled

The link I just posted before (http://www.soundwavefestival.com/node/119415) is their only official statement they've made so far apart from the promoter talking on the radio.

f**king ridiculous. They cancelled because the 2nd headliner who they hadn't even announced yet pulled out! Apparently many of the bands are still touring here. If the sisters aren't one of those bands i'm going to very upset :(

Holy cow, that has pretty much just wrecked my day/week/month/year.....

Surely they could just play the hifi in Melbourne or something....

I hope so. Otherwise we're all going to have to fly to New Zealand to see them.

Hoping that, if they cancel Aus, the girls will still come to NZ..isn't that a wee bit unlikely though - for one show? Like you said, maybe they can just organise a whole bunch of gigs anyway...

So all of the Australian festival dates are cancelled :?: ...   ... oh nooo ....   ...

That's really bad news.

Hhm, for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne they are still organising some other events to be announced during the next few days ...

So perhaps at least in these places, people will be able to see The Sisters ... :| ...

Might not be that bad news, if they are looking at indoor club gigs for next year instead. Because I don't think they intend to try it with Soundwave again...

Seriously chaps - for Melbourne get yourselves to the hifi bar or even the Palace Theatre..... or anything really. If I had a bigger backyard.....please make it down here...
