Perhaps it is a Goth tribal thing.
No, not at all! The other time I noticed this phenomena was on Madonna's official fan club (I have a broad taste in music
). The oldest members on Madonna's forum hate her personality (aka: what they think her personality is like), and her career decisions, spend their time analysing how Madonna has betrayed everything she once (in the mid 80s) stood for, why everything she does now is crap, why the musicians and stage designers she works with now are talentless and visionless, etc. etc. You could interchange the names Madonna + Eldritch. Those are the only two music discussion forums I have visited, but I kind of sense a common denominator there, so 'm sure the mechanisms are the same wherever people are idolised.
Having said that, I feel a bit defensive about Heartland. Before you come to any conclusions, you should probably compare more. The overall vibe on Heartland is very very nice. Even the moaners are nice
I have no idea what drives them, but oh well, live and let live. I am here to share some of the things I love, and I have met lovely people via chatting here and going to gigs together.

I like HL and I love the Sisters. It's a win-win situation.

well, ok, if I want some nostalgia (which I might also enjoy at times), I go listen and see The March Violets ...
...
So the Violets (a band with an imminent new album out) are a nostalgia band and the Sisters aren't?
How the hell did you come to this conclusion?

yes, because TSOM are simply better and they plays new songs and it's difficult to release album nowadays.

To me it seems, they like playing with and about 90ies Goth.
That does not equate they were a "nostalgia band" ... * hell, where did you get this expression ...
...
I think, they take on some of these issues and maybe in a way I might enjoy ...
(at least that's what I hope for). We will see where it all leads to ...
...
As to The Sisters, they can never be a "nostalgia band" ... that's a contradiction in itself, IMHO...
And just another of them f**king labels ...
...
ok, I should not have used an idiot-term as such myself ...
