The Dropkick Murphys at Crystal Palace 2002 (Sex Pistols) were the highlight of the support bands for me  :notworthy: The Libertines were ok, but "the Murphys" got things rocking nicely!

(which brings me to)

The Jesus Lizard and The Reverend Horton Heat at Reading 1994 were just 8) :notworthy: And Compulsion in the wee tent were just awesome  :notworthy: (and as for the review in Melody Maker/NME :urff:  :x )

Very hard to tell, but.....

The Chameleons in Duisburg and Bochum 2002
Nina Hagen Cirkus/Stockholm early 90's
Iggy Pop Cirkus/Stockholm mid 90's
REM Göta Lejon/Stockholm late 80's
Interpol Debaser/Stockholm 2002
TSOM Annexet/Stockholm late 80's

Rolling Stones The Globe (Globen)/Stockholm 2000/2001. Not the best concert, but very good indeed.

etc......

Saw them at the Leadmill and was totally astounded...they had totally passed me by and we got asked along by some friends. I LOVE IT when friends share stuff like this!!!!! They were out of this world...was bowled over.

Erm, yes they 'rawwwked'

Oh and PWEI played the opening gig of their 199something tour at a titchy venue here in Lincoln. I took along a little friend who wasn't allowed to go on his own and his Mum said I could chaperpone him>>>HAHAHAHAHAHAhahaha

A very hot and sweaty and up-for-it gig from what I remember.

Went to go see Poison Idea in Milton Keynes years ago.

The support band had 3 bassists and about 7 drummers. Most of their songs were made up of feedback. Absolutely fantastic band. No idea what their name was. They are the reason I am slightly deaf in my left ear. The feedback was so loud you could scream into the persons ear next to you and theyt couldn't hear you.

Poison Idea were just fat.

The Orb,was it manchester academy or brixton...cant remeber now.was an "enhanced"experience.
new frontiers, new scene, same kind of philosophy, different style of music.

sun electric were supporting at the time.superb in their own right.
remember being up in the balcony at one point looking out across a huge expanse of netting stretched from the balcony to the stage-no idea what its purpose was but had an almost irresistable urge to climb out onto it and run along it.
no,i didnt think i could levitate.more a sense of wouldnt it be exhilarating to see if i could make it across though.

hmmm, was sick in the mens at one point too, somewhere near a hand dryer.

coldest night of the year that year, and we'd not made any provision for crashing anywhere either.
had old biker jacket on and thin top and things.never been so cold in my life.
lost all feeling in the legs from the knees down, started to panic because of it,and almost accidentally started a fire in a sheltered corner near an oap complex.
after hours of being half carried arpound the town in the early hours of the am,found and early opening truck stop type place and managed to get coffee.felt like crying with relief and promised id be a good girl from then on.

things you do when your younger eh

Seven cans of diet coke.

I was in a meeting that managed to combine being difficult, bad tempered and stressful with boring beyond words. The meeting started at about 1 am, and by the time the meeting was 6 hours old this morning I had drunk in the region of 7 cans of diet coke.

This had the expected results on my bladder. However, I had reached such a state of nerve-shot apathy that I actually started pissing myself at the table before forcing myself to stop, get up and take myself to the gents.

Wish I hadn't bothered.

Sorry if i answer to a question that is not for me...

I like Cramps for many years ago, since i was very young, and it was one of my best concerts. I only saw them once, in Portugal, in 1998. :notworthy: They are great on stage. Lux is completely insane and Poison Ivy is a sexy rock n' roll woman. 8)

I'm thinking about going to Bilbao (Spain) to see them again with Iggy Pop and the Stooges.. YEAHHHHHHHHHH

Front row Brixton Academy 1990 - Tin Machine (Bowie)

Front row Brixton Academy a couple of years ago - The Cult
