The all new 'Who's Going Where and When' thread

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

god no! there's no way i'd cough up 90 quid per ticket!

the tickets were already bought. said friend hates going to gigs alone and hubby made it quite clear that he wouldn't been seen dead within a 10 km radius of a Gaga show (he might also have hinted at the possibility of a Gaga-related marital breakdown too). so the duty fell upon yours truly

i don't mind Gaga though. she has good taste in footwear. which just about sums up my knowledge of the woman.

I think she's a genius.

Well, that might be overstating it. She's definitely the most interesting thing in pop, though.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Going to reading on the Friday, hopefully to see the Cure I guess. Bought the ticket months ago to join someone who has since decided they don't want to know, but it doesn't seem worth selling it for much less than I paid. Depending what they play the angst and irony could be quite delicious.

Just have had 3 smokin' hot days of Pukkelpop behind me... At times temperatures of 40°C

But it was massive. I really had an utterly bastard groovy time dancing & drinking to the Stone Roses groove.
Other highlights were The Afghan Whigs, Carl Craig, Graveyard, Feist, Light Asylum (thanx for the tip, Z) & Com Truise...
Now rehab  :innocent:

Did The Brian Jones town Massacre last night. Bloody great. Played for over 2 hours in a venue that holds 750 and it was not sold out. Mary Chain in same venue in a couple of weeks.

Just recovered from The Cure's Reading show last night - not as good as their Rome spectacular last month but still very tasty.
The crowd at Reading was absolutely f**king dreadful, not just for The Cure but for everything. Didn't just make me feel old, actually made me glad to be old ;D
Scroobius Pip, Passion Pit & Graham Coxon were also very good.
