Has to be Temple, though respect to the vote for Doctor Jeep. An Annie Nightingale playing of that one Sunday evening had me busting with anticipation of the soon-to-be released Vision Thing.

Dominion is a close second, would possibly have nicked it in injury time but Emma has its own poll now.

edit: oops, no it doesn't. Ah well.

You mean it's an exam, not a poll?

I still remember walking into the local record shop one Monday morning in 1984 on the day that Walk Away was first released, and they were playing it at full volume! After the slightly muddy production of the Body & Soul 12" single, Walk Away sounded amazing! I couldn't wait to get home and stick it on the old turntable. And then we had On The Wire as a b-side. Great times. Still got the 12" in the loft somewhere...

:D

Rewind to the Fav in a far off time....

Chemistry student living on Springfield Mount, wearing leather and cheesecloth, long hair and scouse accent like la, listening to Zeppelin, Lizzy and Hawkwind, going on to Brannigans, Cosmos and Scrumpies, hearing Alice and Cat People on repeat play on the jukebox..... Enough to go out and hit the henna and the crimpers....

Voted for Alice cos of the effect it had, but Temple was and is better x

No time to cry.

That would be a strange name for a daughter.

Especially during her very early years.

The next one......

Had to choose When You Don't See Me, just because the next one is not up there.

Yep. ;D :notworthy:

Remember, folks, I live in America (unfortunately), and didn't even get to hear The Girls until 1988... :von:

Very hard to choose among Temple of Love, More and Lucretia. Finally I voted for Lucretia, because this song still makes me chill.

Whot? Can't we state our fave single in a silly poll?

Anyway, Alice/Floorshow any day of the week for me

Temple Of Love (12") because it was my first and because the b-side remains the greatest side of vinyl ever pressed (IMHO). :von:

Very difficult call between Alice and ToL due to the superb 12" b sides.

Judging purely on the A sides, Alice would sneak it but based on the whole record, I have to say Heartland hands it to ToL.
