Anyone know if the venue looks substantially the same as it did during the famous early dates? It would be kind of fun to see them play there for that reason (among others)...

Thanks for any help.
Well, they're playing 'The Max'. It refers not only to a mediocre soft drink ('The choice of a lost generation') but also to newer hall in the venue.

will be there

Although surprises are always possible, it looks that I arranged everything to be there.

I would appreciate if anyone could point me into the direction of a bar/pub/ale house/biergarten/some kind of drinking establishment where HL people meet before the gig, if there is a such at all.

Otherwise, I will be sitting in the bar for hours.

I will be in Amsterdam for the weekend, I sure would like a pre gig meet up. :D

anyone else up for something like that?
there are a couple of places nearby but not really one that stands out, so if anyone has a suggestion...? :D

As posted in the Esch thread and I have problems with my back and won't make it to Amsterdam (neither to Hamburg and most likely also not to Esch).

Hence, I offer my ticket for Amsterdam which also includes a 1 month membership for the Melkweg. My name is printed on the ticket and on the membership, but I hope, this should cause no problems. Both tickets come in PDF-format so all you need is a printer to get them.

Price is €35.00 all-in (less than I paid). Payment is by PayPal only. If you're interested, pm me.

P.S. I already sold my ticket for Hamburg to a friend, so that's not on offer.

I'm there from tomorrow evening so I'd definitely go for a meet-up. :D

Be warned that at some stage I'm going to want to try a Guinness in the Irish bar round the corner...

Thanks, I hope that, too. Just cancelled my hotel reservation in Esch, so I'm definitely off for any of the May gigs :(

Any news yet? Same setlist as Brussels and Esch or anything different?

Standard setlist. FALAA with the original intro, Top Nite Out, etc.

Sound was very loud, Von was very loud, during Flood II I joked with Derek R that they needed to turn him down a little. :D

I got most of Crash & Burn, wait till tomorrow when I find out how good, or otherwise, it is, and if it passes muster I'll YouTube it.

If I am not mistaking, same setlist as last couple of gigs. Much better than Vienna, must say that I even enjoyed the pit.

No bullies today :-)

Nice meeting all the people, they are the reason why The band can still go forward. Energy coming from below is proportional to the performance on stage. Alas, not to number of published albums.

Yeah

Much of it sounded taped though, but it was definitely the original.
