Nonsense. Come up with a cunning plan, play a few mini-WCs (-8pt hits) and you're sorted. I'll take a look at your bunch of ragamuffins later and drop you a carrier-pigeon.Pista wrote:I need to sell an organ to get Alexis on board
Alternatively, who needs two kidneys anyway?

My hopes now are pinned on Forster saving a penalty (or two) & Wanyama getting at least four

After than comment, I now realise why Unstuck Forest and mid-table obscurity are a match made in Heaven.

Am relieved to have scraped up to 60 pts this week largely thanks to my defence. Well done to all who have Sanchez and are sitting with huge totals this week.

I'm pretty sure the BSO award is going to a Sánchez Alice band this GW. Great call considering the plethora of options available.Nikolas Vitus Lagartija wrote:Well done to all who have Sanchez...

I just had a sneaky look through some GW totals and was amazed how many of the 22 a) had Sanchez in their team and b) had him as vice-captain.Johnny Rev 7.0 wrote:I'm pretty sure the BSO award is going to a Sánchez Alice band this GW. As the season goes on, it seems as if more and more people are fielding very similar teams ...
Sanchez somehow always sneaks under the Alice band radar doesn't he?

In Nigel-speak it's called 'template.' If your team isn't doing well, it's only natural to copy a team that is doing well. Whilst that may steady the ship, the problem of course, is that you'll rise and fall with another 2m players and never make any headway in your OR.Nikolas Vitus Lagartija wrote:As the season goes on, it seems as if more and more people are fielding very similar teams ...
The key to this game is differentials. Picking the guy who's gonna be the next flavour of the month before anyone else has. That's what helps your OR and rockets you up the rankings.
Like I called Silva(c) in GW17, or JT as my Chelski defender of choice, simply because my gut felt they were both 'due.'
Totally unscientific, I know, and it doesn't matter how many stats I pour over in Nigel-land, as sometimes gut feeling does come into play.
Which is why I kinda like it.A Wise Man wrote:The problem with gut feeling as a method of scientific enquiry is that it isn’t susceptible of reason, challenge or review, making it uniquely unsuitable for productive discussion.

So just putting the names on a dart board & hoping for the best is a no no?
It helps though if when you come to totally change your squad with a WC if your squad is worth £108.6 million compared to the team at the bottom which is worth £95.6 million.Nikolas Vitus Lagartija wrote:As the season goes on, it seems as if more and more people are fielding very similar teams ...
In the long run the more expensive team will win. Think Man City and Southampton.

Spanked again... on our own patch.
Industrial Groove Machine 657 - 699 Eleven Imaginary Boys
GW21 differential: +42 The Cure
Overall differential: +119 The Sisters
FC Bennweg-Zeis 1921 (Johnny Rev 7.0) retain the Yellow Jersey, and rising phoenix-like from the ashes, high town FC (figie) take the Big Shout Out award this GW with a stonking 86pts.
On an IGM managerial note, and Mav agreed, we'd both like to give our own IGM Big Shout Out to Eastmids Whizzkids [s](Easttmiiidswhizzzkidss)[/s] Lee this GW.
A gentle giant amongst men, extremely intelligent, and his top GW season score of 76pts makes me and Mav think; he may be getting the hang of this.
We'll lick our wounds, but bounce back. Dialogue is flowing in the 'secret' place.
Congratulations to EIB.

Nah, I was watching the live numbers over the last 2 matches & thought this would be a very close run week.
Some pretty strong scoring peeps on both sides too this week
Just looked at the fixtures for next weekend & I think the team choices are going to be a lot tougher. Some very evenly matched games there.
But once again, thanks for hosting the GW & well played everyone.
See you all over at the land of Lovesong & Lullabies for GW 22
