Unless a major hurdle appears, I'll be travelling to the UK for grad school.

Hopefully I can catch this gig or some others.

I'm still hoping to do Leeds & will get tickets.
Any advice on hotels would be great as I'm not familiar with the area.
Thanks in advance

Bit steep considering, but I'll no doubt acquire from Jumbo on my next trip into town.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I don't know why you have this idea that you might get kicked off, it's a sanction of last resort.

Not in bleedin' Manchester it isn't. Anyhow Fraulein ribbons and I are booked into the Queens hotel adjacent to the station. Certainly not dirt cheap

Hotel booked and getting excited.
There are so many people bleating on about it being a big let down but I wouldn't be arsed if he sang Boney M songs all night, I know it will be brilliant because it's all about what you want it to be (in my own head, that makes sense) :)

Boney M songs would be great! Painter Man...Rasputin, Ma Baker, Daddy Cool. Sigh. Great stuff. Has anyone received their tickets from Crash yet? Still waiting...

I've got to hand it to you, you know your Boney M :notworthy:

Someone on FB said their Leeds tickets have arrived today but I got an email saying mine were delayed.

Not sure what Dry Dock is but it certainly sounds like it's the place to be 8)

The Dry Dock is a large barge that has been converted into a pub within site of the gig venue

Will prob hit the Fav first, for very old times sake, then trip the light fantastic across the Uni car park to the Fenton to get in the mood for the Dry Dock :-)

The Uni car-park is being built on at the moment (constructing a multi-storey job) so you may not be able to get through. On the other hand, the building work might be finished by October.

Also, depending on how long it is since you last went in the Fav, you might be surprised by how much it has changed.

The Fav has changed many times since I first went in 1982 as a fresh faced student living on Springfield Mount. It's still a must visit when seeing certain gigs in town, well for me lol, good times from many moons ago.
