not impressed. 22nd out of 33. 31 points overall. lost my H2H against the average (why isnt there 33 players in the H2H? there is in the other league) for some reason fabregas and benteke didn't play! how the hell am i supposed to know who's playing when they dont announce team lists till after the GW deadline?that'll teach me to try and be creative so an immediate -4 for next week because i cant have players who are unreliable (or whose managers have no faith in them).

EDIT: and why the f**k didnt payet play a full game? all the fuss about him and the money he cost and he plays 24 minutes? cunt.

Payet, being the snowflake that he is (alongside Ozil, Giroud, Kocsielny & a few others) seemingly needs over a month to recover from EURO2016. :?

As for the H2H, it needs an even number of teams to pit everyone against someone else. So AVERAGE is just there to make up the 34th player.

Not too disappointed with my lot this week. But if it wasn't for that pesky Hazard bloke...mumble mumble....

the official app is called PL, and it's incorporated with the 'real' footy app in a seperate section. it's better -look for green with a black lion thingy. must have a look at the other ones there.

It did admittedly take me two cups of coffee this morning to realise.
I assumed AVERAGE was in because one of the Mish guys had forgotten to join the H2H league. So I lumped AV's 3 points onto their score.
Wasn't till I recounted the games that the penny dropped. :)

Completely discounted the bloke based on last season's horrorshow coupled with an iffy presumption that he was probably Madrid-bound, bestr keep an eye on the chelski gimp over the next coupla weeks and maybe squeeze him back into the squad....at which point he'll lose interest again no doubt. He may end up taking Pogba's spot, there's more than half a chance that the good stuff he does in matches won't translate to FPL points so we'll see.

Nice to see the ill-informed guesswork managed to bag 39 points though, steady start for a change. How you folk who always hover around the top of the league keep it up week after week is as yet beyond me. How many Palantir's were unaccounted for in LOTR? ;)

Roll on Friday, and good luck IGM :)

Lots and lots of research. Checking who played in pre-season matches. Did they play in a new position. Did the manager change the formation. Who played in Euros and didn't have a pre-season. You can never research enough.

Can you hurry up please?

Just by dint of moi scoring the highest GW1 score, I get a treble [s]stiffy[/s] accolade.

I'm 54. I don't want to waste a Viagra® tab whilst waiting.

TMI I know.

Danke.

As it is game week 1 the holder of the Image for leading the Classic league, the recipient of the Image for the game weeks top score and also the wearer of the Imagefor leading the H2H league is FC Bennweg-Zeis 1921 managed by the ever humble Mr Johnny Mernor. Well done mein freund.

Don't forget kids that the game week starts early this week when the Scum play the Saints on Friday night.

Well, I watch MOTD if that counts? And read plenty of match reports online. The tiring pattern of the last two seasons for me has been slow response to players obviously in a bit of form, by the time I get round to buying them that form evaporates.

One thing I'm reticent to do is risk starting a GW in the red, -4 points is fine if you hit regular 60+ scores, I just daren't. Is it a commonly used strategy amongst the team, and if so how often does it turn round and bite you on the ass?

sometimes you just have to, with injuries and your players not being picked. it shouldn't happen very often, especially if your subs are healthy ish

I seem to recall someone telling us "oh it's just a few minutes a week" :innocent:
