Well here's my 2cents worth of kit

Main Axe (and newest edition to the fold): Epiphone Firebird.
Black & Shiny - Yes. Sharklike Monster - maybe.
Unfortunately a bolt-on neck but a great action with no fret buzz.
Good all round piece of kit.

Main backup - Encore Les Paul Copy - again black and shiny.
Worth more than the 50 quid I paid for it but some frets need dressing.
Need to fit those Aria pickups Ive got lurking around somewhere...

Vintage (or other unkown copy) Tobbaco Sunbirst Les Paul copy.
Best for quick Slash impressions when no-ones looking.
Nice neck, spoilt by semi-ply laminate body and dodgy built in effects, but as it was given to me for free Im not complaining.

Korg AX1G - useful as a tuner or to help DI into my:
Behringer 1604A - to PC for home studio.

No amp as of yet - but my bassist flatmater has a 100w Marshall valvestate that gets "Borrowed" for weeks on end.

Roland JV1010 - the daddy of small synths - soon to be the heart of my laptop doktor for a Sisters sideproject as a warmup act for my flatmates band.

More equiptment than talent?

I second that - it's one helluva bass.

I just got the rat juggernaut for my bass setup. Nice growly sound.

Speaking of bass - does anybody know what Andy Cousin from the Eve's uses? Was listening to some of the '93 Mish gigs and the man has a *very* heavy sound.

Bass-wise I thought he was exclusively fender - jazz and precision. No idea about effects though...

Oh and I've added a 600 watt Ashdown ABM 410H cab to the rig

Currently refered to as 'the bastard' by anyone who has to help me carry it.

Of course he is - Flea is excellent.

He's no patch on John Entwistle, John Patitucci, Jaco Pastorius, James Jamerson or hundreds of others however. He's just more famous.

You can't deny the mans talent or the quality he achieves through experimentation and forward thinking.

Next you'll be saying Kurt Cobain could play guitar.

Experimenting has a lot to it.

It's not enough to want to do something different and experiment and have all these crazy and cool ideas in your mind and lot of imagination, you need the technical ability to do it right, flea simply doesn't have it.

As an extreme example, i could learn two accords, and then start to "experiment" and all, but it would still be s**t.

Flea is obviously a lot better than me, but nowhere near the good category.

And i like experimentation and different stuff, but done by people who know how to do it.

Pity R.H.C.P. are such a C.R.A.P. band.
