I strongly recommend people get to this gig, if at all possible. Sell the house. Sell the car. Sell the kids. Just get there.
A near meth derniere?

i see what you did there.

Send some money...

...as I suppose most of you can´t make it to the gig. But in any case, send 10 English Zloty via PayPal, as I just did. Simon Denbigh gave you a lot of pleasure through the March Violets and his involvement in the Sisters. So the least you can do is send some money to make his life easier under the circumstances. Always remember, this can happen to all of us...

...and probably will. though i'd say mr D gave me the most pleasure through his vastly underrated rock band The Batfish Boys. oh and a certain anecdote about Eldritch in mexico which i simply would be murdered for relating. :innocent:  :von:

ooh! ooh! a quiz -i love quizzes! right then: can we assume it's a local band?
hmm - "you might be surprised, you might not.." arctic monkeys? the kaiser chiefs? the utah saints are always up for a good cause, as are NMA (and they're touring at the minute so it wouldnt take an extra-special effort, beyind tacking an extra date on an existing schedule..)

i wish william hill would give me odds on Black Lace.

Sadly I still can't make it :(
I would have love to have gone.
Such is life, I guess.
Tape recordings (or their more modern digital equivalents) would be welcome.
Eventually I'll get up to one of these things.
Right now, though, the logistics just can't be worked out.
Still, I hope you all have a good time listening to the special guests, whatever name they may be using.

Given the fact that it's not all that far from Sheffield to Leeds ... that quiz offers quite some interesting alternatives ...:eek:  ...

But I can't make it anyway, since I sold house, car and kids already for the last Sisters gig ...  ...
Nonetheless, some quid for a paypal contribution should still be manageable and not cause the full end of the world.

At the end of the day, this is about raising money for Si Denbigh a lot more than it is about who may or may not be playing.

Absolutely - please don't read my post the wrong way (although it may offer some insights if you do).

Already chucked a few £££ to the cause via PayPal because I couldn't make it there in person, and that is indeed the main point of all of this.

of course. but i'd probably not be going and just send £££'s if it wasnt definitely going to be Black Lace.
altogether now: "we're 'avin' a gang-bang...."

Would have loved to go. And probably could as I'm doing Liverpool and Sheffield but would have to change flights, get a last minute hotel etc. That would be another £200 and tis near Christmas...sending a few quid was the best I could do.

Utah Saints? Marvellous 8) last saw them blowing the Shamen off stage at the T&C sometime in the 90s, not the most difficult of achievements but still, they did it well.

If anyone is looking to travel to the gig and needs shelter for the night give me a nod, I've a sofabed to be claimed if required :)
