i'm not ashamed of any gigs ive been to. either i wanted to go in which case i must have liked the band, or i got in for nothing, or i was escorting children, e.g seeing peter andre at rockingham motor speedway for my step-sons 11th birthday. even that was good because girls aloud were also on and theyre great (and fit.)
i did get into see ozric tentacles (for free) once simply so we could shout for the byker grove theme tune all night (and throw chicken bones and cold chips at them when they failed to find our request amusing) but that wasnt so much shameful as bloody boring.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I saw this and thought no I have not been to any Im ashamed to admit as I liked them at the time and mostly still do. However chatting to a friend about London venues reminded me of the one I try to forget; The Bangles at the Town and Country club, a friend had a spare ticket so I went all I remember is the singer wore no pants and not wanting to see such stuff being put off. It was dull as dishwater too I think but hell its one I now have to forget again.

No gigs of shame here, either ... when the performance is ashaming, there's always the way to the bar or to the door out, rather ...
At times, I'm confronted with some entertainment part at conferences or bands at festivals that are hardly to my taste ...
but hell, many others do enjoy. So what... ...
