Apparently there was very heavy rain and parts of the Wacken site had to be evacuated and bands suspended for a while. According to the Wacken website, in order to meet their curfew, they basically had to cancel one of two bands - Mambo Kurt (?) or TSoM. But as the former are playing toher stages over the weekend, they were pulled and the TSoM show went ahead. With the main stages not operating, reports I read were of the tent being totally full with large numbers unable to get in and others prevented from entering that part of the site. With AE in comparatively good voice, this gig sounds like a notable success for the band and further evidence of why AE is happy to play the metal festival circuit.

I hate rain on festivals, had my share of mudwrestling over the years to watch the sisters, Roskilde 91, Rendsburg 97 and Arvika 98 comes to mind.
