Ermmm... Very silly?!
Just like you said, "in the mould of This Corrosion and More", it's has been made to climb the charts!
So, first single.

And why does he only post sporadically?
A man of mystery. Maybe it's AE and he's too busy working on the new album (STOP laughing!) or maybe, despite his denials, we've all noticed that CB hasn't posted whilst QB's been sunning himself abroad ...
Hehehe!
Quiff the Chairman? Interesting theory.

Sorry to disappoint you, though, but there has been inumerous periods of time when Quiffy is here and the Chairman is away.
Which doesn't prove anything, nevertheless...

Can I just say, Köln (Cologne) 2001 is a fantastic weed.
Great sound (I go for sound quality over concert, that's why I haven't reweeded some of the CDs I've been weeded, am I wrong?) damn fine performance too. All of this brought to us via elguiri who must have a hotline to Jeeziz.

Hey hey, I just wanted to add my "I like SSV too" comment to this.
I thought I was a bit odd for liking it but now I know I'm not alone !

I tend to listen to Shut The F*ck Up far more than I want to admit...

Regarding new album tracks, I'd be devastated if Come Together wasn't present. A live version of Numb/Stranger at the end would finish it off nicely methinks.

Sisters on CD?

Just thought I'd through in a couple of cents, re: the Sisters ever appearing on CD again.

From all the interviews with Von I've read that he's done over these many years, it's clear that he's coming from a different era now and is (rightfully) skeptical about the release of music now. When he put out Vision Thing, the industry was just going full on toward CDs totally replacing vinyl, but Vision Thing was still a vinyl album (shorter length, etc).

I think it just comes down to compensation for work. I don't think he's greedy so much, I think he just wants to make the effort of releasing a record and touring it and promoting it and doing singles and radio play etc, worth his while. And right now, it's clear that everything is different, especially with downloading, CD price fixing ,etc.

I think it comes down to he's refusing to release anything new unless he's paid a certain amount, and record companies are just not answering. Theres no doubt they could put out a new album, but with whom, and what kind of distribution? Also, I'm sure the industry knows the reputation all too well and would rather pass on the hassle when they can sign a flavor of the month band.

Anyway, sorry to babble, but I've been peeking in here quite a bit and figured I should start communicating with fellow Sisters-watchers! Thanks!

If we do ever get a new album consisting of all the songs which haven't been released yet (War on drugs, Romeo down, etc...) am I the only one who'd feel a little bit cheated, and certainly immensely disappointed?
Much as I'd like to hear those songs in good quality, some of them have been around almost 10 years now (Come Together).
[The solution is that if he's still stuck in the album era to record 40 minutes of new new songs and fill up the rest of the cd with the old new songs.]

If Eldritch is holding out for a major record company then he's in for a long wait. Sure, he's assured that the diehard fans will buy the album, but what of the casual buyer.

"Oh, they're the band that released 'This Corrosion'."
"This what???"
Sorry too long ago.

He's left it too long and even if he got the original linup together it isn't gonna be enough to generate the amount of sales a major record company wants.

That's the cold harsh facts, and while Eldritch insists on holding out for a major there ain't ever gonna be a new Sisters cd.

It doesnt matter 1. if they release another disc and 2 . it doesnt matter whats on it.

Why?..........Because it would never be able to justify the hype or peoples expectations. Its been way too long in coming.Think about it .........We "only" had a 3 year wait for FALAA , and when that came out it was a dissapointment.....not that it was a bad disc , just avarage,it couldnt and didnt live up to its billing. So to expect a piece of work thats been some 14 years in coming to cut the mustard is quite frankly , unlikely.

To me this is the reason why there will be no more official releases from Von and co , and he knows it.

Live entity for life?

I guess part of the quetion is also how long can they continue to tour before the venues shrink and more people lose interest? The formula is simple--if you have something, anything new released, a freaking single or anything, you can tour more credibly and bring in bigger numbers and get the ball rolling again.

Sadly, the Sisters haven't toured the states in what, five years? I don't see much chance of them coming back as they apparently couldn't sell out all venues back them, when there was still chatter from the man himself about a new album.

You really have to wonder at this point, about blaming the record companies for not wanting the material. The Sisters literally need someone with a decent checkbook and dedication to resurrect them to a larger market.

The biggest irony facing the band is--if you want to stress that you're not g***, how about proving it to everyone with an album? Instead, Von must know that g***s will continue to see the Sisters live, but the new and curious concert-going numbers will shrink and shrink.

I guess when there is nothing to really prove, the motivation is not there. One can dream, can't they?
