I find myself occasionally listening to anything I can sing LOUDLY to - strong melodies, female vocals. Kate Bush and even Dolly have made an appearance... I have also unexpectedly returned to Pink Floyd.

all sorts of stuff that i would have written off as bollocks simply for being of a genre. e.g. no "A Simple Game" by the four tops (my favourite song of all time)as i hated the motown my mum played. she didnt play any of the fabulous stuff ive discovered since. i still hate country with exceptions. i still hate the red hot chilli peppers (give it away has always been the exception) but whereas -James Brown aside- i hated funk by association, i now listen to s**t like Parliament and Funkadelic etc and l;ove it. BUT i hadnt heard them so who knows?
BUT you'd never have got me to listen to the ink spots and i found myself loving them as part of the watchmen (tv) soundtrack...
