Those of you that get to see the band have a different appreciation of the new songs. To me they are crap because I only hear them as karaoke recordings from a phone.
If Adam relented I'd buy that album. On vinyl.
I´ve been saying this for a long time. The whole "why would we want a new album, just enjoy the songs at the gigs!" argument just doesn´t hold up. (And just to be clear - no, nobody "owes" us any new recordings, but that doesn´t mean that I can´t have thoughts and feelings about the lack of such.)
Don´t really think that Adam factors in to it at all, though. That is ancient history.

I just don’t understand why they don’t released any live captation if Von doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life in studio. It’s easy now via Bandcamp and they owned all the copyrights.

I've been mostly happy to enjoy the new songs at gigs so far, but it's also a fair observation that the option isn't available to everybody, and it would be nice to have the songs on some form of release for listening to whenever I want, sharing playlists with friends, hearing down pubs and clubs, terrorising the neighbours with, getting into long and complicated online arguments over studio versions compared with live takes, etc.
Sure, the band don't owe us. But one can't help but feel that they've done us a bit of a disservice in the longer term. Unless Von has plans for just banging-out everything before he finally collects his bus pass, that is.

It might be 30 odd years since the last studio album, but the Sisters have NEVER released a live album. Best we got was the Wake video. Contrast that to bands like T'Mishun who have done loads over the years and it's easy to surmise that Von doesn't like live albums.

You suppose right.

I assume you record all your concerts. When can I expect a live album?
No time soon. Bands usually log their performance in some way. Some of them like to relive it all in the bus afterwards, for whatever perverse reason. We would do it just because we can. If we were interested in recording a live album we'd get a lot more than a handycam and a DAT recorder to do it with, but it seems daft not to put those toys into action. Often we're daft enough not to bother.
We're not interested in releasing a live album right now, and we haven't been for some time. People often tell us that there's a huge demand for a live album, citing the vast numbers of Sisters bootlegs. That overlooks a few important facts:
People who buy bootlegs are primarily interested in hunting the stuff down; they don't seem nearly so excited about things which are readily available. Some even turn their noses up at the genuine article and they are in any event a tiny minority.
We already put out a live album with film footage, in the form of 'Wake', the video of the Albert Hall event. And people got a lot less excited about it than they do about bootlegs.
Anyway, you'd be the first to scream if the next thing you got was not a new studio album.
On the other hand, since that was written, we
almost got a live DVD, which rumour has it literally went up in smoke.

we really really didnt even get near an almost... we simply got empty promises ...dust in deserts of sound... and f**k all else.
No Made Glorious Summer.....no "Genevieve" .... no Live dvd & definitely No New album. in fact we got the same as we get every xmas, every yom kippur, every Beltane, every Diwali & every Stick It Up Your Arse Thursdy. f**k All. Nada. NOWT. Zilch. to be fair if we DID get something it would make me incredibly suspicious that the old bugger was after something. Avocados dont just grow on trees you know... Or something. ive done no research.

Anything. Literally anything.
It's been decades of hoping and wondering. Little snippets of interviews haven't outright ruled it out over the years but, as we know, nothing.
Got meself on a right downer the other day when I realised that's it, there won't be another album. One would've materialised at some point otherwise.
Can't we even have a cheeky Live Here Now live download or something? Too much to ask? Looks like.

I had a silly daydream about waiting in line for this on Record Store Day 2025:
1. You Could Be The One (Jutland Mix)
2. OTBCY (YCBTO Ozymandias style)
3. Torch (instrumental)

Lotta talk on here about the unreleased material. And sure yeah, on a hypothetical new album I'd like them all please, thankee sai.
But it occurred to me that I'd be legitimately interested in a package containing all of the already-released material. And I mean all in an obsessive/completionist sense: an exhaustive collection of every version of every commercially released thing. For example all of the Mack v Eldritch v whatever mixes of FALAA. Every random different fade of TC. Whatever promos in various geos where they differ slightly. Etc etc. The whole videography catalog. All neatly organised, annotated and packaged up.
I'm sure many of us have a self-arranged stash like that, I for one sort of do but I also frankly can't be arsed to really complete it. And I'd be willing to pay good money for someone else to do it and offer a nice digital download. None of this "Gift Reissue + extras" s**t, promoters if you're reading this that's what I would like to see.

i agree! an Eldritch sanctioned Needle-Drop And The Damage Done. etc. Basically Professor Bob aka
@robertzombie gets a years salary to hand Andrew a caveat-bound compenium of our Roberts reworking/ workings for retail (the caveat being : Von doesnt spend the next 10 years altering or tampering IN ANY WAY-they are already sonic perfection)

I’d love to see Von do something like this Cure release.
https://nakedrecordclub.com/products/th ... re-release
Live e.p. = minimal outlay as all it requires is compiling & mastering the best desk recordings. Ben & Kai overdubs for a bit more oomph, if required. Same for vox, easy peasy. All proceeds to Eno’s charity so it’s not a big deal about doing record labels again.
Creates a bit of buzz (see: US tour venue downsizing). And it’d be FUN.
(The Cure sold out the run of 5k copies in a single morning)
Won’t ever happen!

All of 'em, honestly. I love the new-new stuff, but I'd very specifically love to hear studio versions of War on Drugs and Come Together.
The amount of decent unreleased songs has mounted up. Hopefully they'll change up the setlist with new songs and reworked or resurrected unreleased songs. I'd really like studio versions of Crash and Burn, Will I Dream, I Will Call You and Black Sail as well. Hopefully, Dylan leaving won't stop them playing the songs he's invloved with.

Oh oh oh, a recording of rain from heaven that matches up to the 2016 live standard? That was honestly so hood and the official recording doesn't come close.

We know a lot of the unreleased songs, maybe all of them I am not sure. For me, I would want Show Me to be on there. I apologize if this has been asked before.
I can't edit this post; that's probably intentional. I don't like Show Me anymore.
They probably have enough songs to make 3 albums at this point.
This would never happen but I've been thinking about an album that would have been released in late 1984. It would have Alice, Body and Soul, Floorshow, original Temple Of Love, Poison Door, Good Things, On The Wire, Wide Receiver, maybe Garden Of Delight, maybe Valentine if they were okay including songs from the EP like some bands do.
Someone who is good at audio editing should remaster the new songs. I've seen a few high quality versions on YouTube and those are cool.

God I wish, part of me can understand not wanting to spend an extended amount of time in a studio with a history like Von but man I'd kill for a decently mastered live album. Live albums can sounds great like the aforementioned cure album and even Daft Punk's Alive 2007 as another great example
