The Sisters in Louder: 20 Best Songs

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I'm glad Chris agrees that Kiss the Carpet should be a setlist staple, best opening -- or encore comeback -- ever
“The melodrama of the delivery and the cliched rawk n’ drawl of ‘YEAH!’ masks a sexually-cum-amphetaminally-charged series of double entendre. Even though it’s probably about Thatcher or something.”

I love Chris comment about the meaning of the lyrics. 😂
Some of my family are big fans of the TV series "Max and Paddy" and whenever they need to apportion blame to anything they simply say "Thatcher's Britain"

And today Louder republishes an old interview where Von is asked

"What other things p*ss you off in life?"

" --Margaret Thatcher, whom I still blame for everything. --"

By the way, I am now imagining him doing an impersonation of Rik shouting "Thatcher's bloody Britain!".

Cheers for the heads-up, that little interviewlet is a tidy reminder of why the job should be left to @MAndrews at all times, and the sooner someone sorts the chap a time-machine the better. Anyway, looking forward to the Two Wires Read tour :?

I love it. I tell people. “See it’s 1984 people. I’ve been ranting about this since high school but no one listened”. I even use it for reasons why I can’t find something at the grocery. Lol
