It would appear that even Eldritch could have taught Ridsdale a thing or two about contract negotiations.

Yep.I'm very sad seeing them doing so low these days around.Just a couple of years ago they were amongst the five finest English clubs around and now they can hardly put two ends together.Isn't that sad?And Ridsdale is the most responsible one for that kind of situation, isn't he?Eldritch could teach him a thing or two about contract negotiations definitely!

I follow the these teams (no, I am not joking):

KSV Hessen Kassel
FC Concordia (my current avatar, by the way)
FK Mlada' Boleslav

So, has anyone here ever attended any matches of those teams? :?: :?:
Can anyone even identify the leagues in which they currently play? :!:

One of my Prague friends (Honza) is a Viktoria Zizkov fan 8) , while "Big Sista" Schwirl and b/f Petr are Brno B fans!

And I have a soft spot for FC Nitra because of Lubomir Moravcik!

Big Si,

Try again. 8) Your first photo is from Uherské HradiÅ¡tě, not Mlada' Boleslav. Boleslav's stadium does not have goal end seating (unless added in the past five years). Moreover, it certainly does not say SYNOT! (Note that the image has the filename UhHr4.) I am not quite sure why Boleslav officials were inspecting a stadium across the country, but I do not recall the two teams playing in the recent past.

You at least have the correct country, even if not the right division.

No disrespect to Tranmere (although they ARE crap), but we were so awful under Walter Smith in 2001 that a 'MY HEARTLAND XI' could have beaten us 3-0.

It's interesting that you made the highly original joke of calling us 'Ever***' as if it's a swear word.
Why do Tranmere fans hate the blues so much? well, obviously jealousy plays a part, but there's more to it than that. Why the irrational hatred, Snowey?

it's rather ironic, but Everton fans have actually kept Tranmere afloat over these last few difficult years; whenever Everton aren't playing, or are playing away, a huge load of our fans go and watch Tranmere instead.
Iestimate that on an average home game, half your crowd are actually blues.

I lived in Amsterdam for a year myself, until I finally found the exit door, and I can vouch for the fact that it is a wonderful, beautiful city. And it once had a wonderful, beautiful football team, but that was a very long time ago now. Nothing could bring me to support the present bunch of useless tossers. Or visit the horrible, unsuccessful new stadium which replaced the lovely, successful old one. I was there in 1994 when Ajax won the European Cup, and watched as the idiot fans destroyed all those lovely tram stops and phone boxes (because they were HAPPY??!!??), and then watched as the inbred thugs with uniforms they drafted in to help the police went out with their batons THE NEXT DAY to grab some action, because they missed the original riot. Now, there's logic in all of that somewhere, but it got kind of twisted in the translation. Aaaah, the memories...

Small pleasures in life:

FK Mlada' Boleslav has clinched promotion to the first division with two matches remaining in the season. :D

Too bad the others do not bring me as much happiness:

FC Concordia Audentes (formerly FC Concordia), on the other hand, has started out 0-0-4 and had to forfeit its win in the amateur club tournament. :urff: A very similiar start as two years ago, when it was relegated. Certainly not as good as last season's 13-3-2 record (and promotion).

KSV dropped two points at home over the weekend and are four points back with only two to play. I am not too optimistic. A second straight second place finish seems likely, after five straight seasons of promotion. :!:

1. The Arsenal. My local team. Born and bred.
2. Swansea City- nearest league team to the ancestral home.
3. Celtic.

I used to have a fondness for Fiorentina just because Florence is a great city and they wore purple. A sad day when they went bust.

Irrational hatred...

Valencia. Still bearing a grudge from them beating Arsenal on penalties in the now defunct cup winners cup in 1980.
