Lest we forget......
We are a rock'n'roll band.
And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine.
And intellectual love gods in our spare time.
We forgive as we forget
As the day is long.

I
Only ever wear black
never wake up till twilight
never listen to any music made after 1987
spend my days hanging around my local war memorial
am unheathily pale
pretend to enjoy the films of Jean Rollin
does that make me a goth?

I agree with all of that, but from an existential point of view, the 'we are a ... band' bit becomes more and more disputable. If a band never make any noise (aside from the odd pout nor sigh), are they still a band?

For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. They make records, sometimes. They play concerts, sometimes. And they also claim to be intellectual love gods in their spare time, which they appear to have aplenty...

never had mine in an alphabetical list Thrash, when I started buying music most of my stuff was on Island Records, so my collection is layed out by band connections and contexts - King Crimson next to Roxy Music next to Family next to Genesis etc.Thrash Harry wrote:You mean they're not in alphabetical order?!
