The short beard and white suit works well for an effect in the Dominion video, and it's certainly better than the "I'm having a nervous breakdown and hiding from the world" beard of The Sisterhood era.

That said, and even though I'm sporting a full beard myself at the moment, I'm a long hair, leather and baby oil man myself.

Oh, and before you ask, I get along just fine with my feminine side!

Cheers - those old photos never fail to raise a chuckle, especially the second where he looks like an Amish axe-murderer.

What about dresses though? Shall we start a poll?

If he had a beard now, would it be yellow, like his napper?

The Sisters apparently played a gig at the Hacienda (sp ?) in drag back in '83.
Eldritch is described as wearing a "very slinky black dress".
Sadly, I've never discovered any photographic evidence.

Apparently, I think Amish axe-murderers are kinda sexy. Equally apparently, I have AE to blame for all my neuroses.

Thnak you, Big Si. That is the photo which I have been trying to find as soon as I saw the poll. Mind you, it may make people vote against you. :innocent:

But the photo in question that they should be voting for is this - http://home.arcor.de/vicus/sisters/domi ... ion_01.jpg

Went for beard, though I'm not sure why. In fact, I'm not sure why I even voted.
Does anybody remember the article in Sounds or one of the other music weeklies with the pic of him, saying he was dead and the new lead singer was Jim Morrisons younger brother?
Sorry, I'm waffling.

Hey! Didn't my reply count? :D :P They're often referred to as Glacier Sunglasses, or Alpine sunglasses.

Like here: http://www.summithut.com/catalog/remap/ ... pfid/8327/

As for the topic: white suit, black beard.

Without.

He looked ok with the beard, but that's probably because I saw him without it first & knew what was underneath.

Beards are for covering up rubbish chins. Also they can obscure the neck, which is one of the really nice bits on many an attractive man, and definitely on Von.

Don't worry. I don't intend to just drool over Andy on this forum. I really do love the music, which is why I'm here. I'll keep the squeeing and lusting for my LJ. And thanks for the welcome :D
