I was an Incantor as it was my first time at something like that and I wasn't confident enough to join in the battles on the front line so to speak. (Didn't want my character to die!).
Then I was convinced to volunteer to be a monster which was ace. I wasn't worried if I died as I wasn't playing my character then. Basically I got a
really big sword and loads of spells and got to thwack people! The best one was where I had unlimited paralysis spells and just kept firing them off at people. Also if you volunteered to be a monster you got paid with in character money which you could use to buy beer with at your factions tavern
