First gig/Last gig/Worst gig/Best gig

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

They were fantastic. But unfortunately my continued lust for Tara is making relationships with real women more difficult than they should be

I'll take a microcosm of '77 at the Phillipshalle Dusseldorf.

First: Queen - In between Day At The Races and Night At The Opera . Bohemian Rapsody time. Stunning. :notworthy:

Best: Peter Gabriel. First time since leaving Genesis. Punky band and very spartan. Little effects but lots of judo jacket, leather strides and motorcycle boots, and jumping on grand pianos screaming 'I'm RAEEEELLLLLLL ..' And I met him afterwards. 8)

Worst: Big early Status Quo fan. But, walked into Rockin' All Over The World and walked out again. Caroline would have made me stay. For a bit. As long as they played forty-five hundred times. Twice. :von:

James Blast gig #2 Mott The Hoople, Glasgow Apollo, I believe the support band went on to a bit of success when they wrote a tune and made a video called Bohemian Raspberry, or something like that?

I think the key thing here Lucretia is that the the start band at late notice were ...

THE SISTERS OF MERCY...

I've got the audio and have no reason to doubt why they never registered with me live. They were awful.

I woke up after Peterborough'83. Which was a sober bored whim. :D

I never even realised until we were talking about 'other' bands on here at the same festival that halluceinate made the connection. I have stayed in contact with my two mates I went to the festival with and their recollections are, and I quote, " ...that crap covers band we had to listen to because the bar weren't open' ... or ' ... vaguely remember them. Didn't you try to get us dancing to the disco one you liked? (Floorshow).'

You live and learn. However, Bauhaus were very, very strange. But considering the Virgin Prunes :urff: had staged a sit-in prior and had to be forcibly removed from the stage then it was a typical night full of bloddy goths. :urff: :innocent:
