What are you favorite sisters songs?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

This list is in some sort of order, at least the top three are unquestionable:
amphetamine logic
some kind of stranger
slept (premiere performance is best, at least on yesterday's listening)
giving ground
driven like the snow
1959
burn
i was wrong
never land (a fragment)
lights (the first Sisters song that all of a sudden made sense to me in 1996)

And under the gun should be on the list, the studio version is a fine thing, live versions are a bit...confused.

Can anyone be bothered to collate these into a definitive top 10? Or do I need to drink the rest of this bottle of Rioja before deciding it's a good idea?

In no particular order:

Alice
Ribbons
Driven Like The Snow
Lucretia (extended version, of course)
Crash And Burn
Flood I
Black Planet
I Was Wrong
Vision Thing
War On Drugs

...and the ending bit of Under The Gun. ;D

As an aside, my guitarist side has to ask: best Sisters riffs?

I'll say: Black Planet, Rock And A Hard Place, Alice, Burn, Temple Of Love, Ribbons, Dr. Jeep, Vision Thing, and Detonation Boulevard... and the bass line from the proper version of FALAA. Not the current live abomination.

Riffs:

love SKOS beginning, as well as the rest
Amphetamine Logic is nice
Alice :)
More makes me feel powerful when playing
Flood II (the little riff in there)
The intros to Lights and Kiss the Carpet tickle my fancy, as well.

Now that i think of it, they all have distinctive riffs that kick ass in their own individual ways...and i love em all.

In no particular order:

Train
Long Train
Body And Soul (studio and RAH)
No Time To Cry (Peel version with repetitive first verse)
Fix (RAH version, for its spacey weirdness)
Most of Reptile House - if a decent drum machine was used
Under The Gun
Heartland
Gimme Shelter (better than the original)
Marian (but lyric should be entirely German)
.... there is no semblance of rock 'n roll around here!

Correct me if I'm wrong, as I don't have proper versions of the singles :| ...but wasn't the B-side the remake of Alice? Which has a great fuzzy amp's about to explode proper Sisters bass sound. And yet Von couldn't be arsed to record a real bass for UTG. Go figure?
