Getting Old

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

*Better Leave The Light On For Me by Belinda Carlisle is my first musical memory.
It's "Darling, leave a light on for me". Selective memory?

One of my formative snogging experiences was accompanied by Heaven is a Place on Earth. Belinda and I go back a long way

And since I probably won't remember in time, happy (premature) 21st.

Sp do you peg cigarette card to your spokes? Or were you more of a 'turn your racing bike hadle bars the wrong way round' kind guy?
Definitely the cigarette cards- though to have pegged them to the spokes might have caused more crashes than I managed to have.
The kid round the corner had a green Chopper but with racing handlebars- this was obviously about as cool as wearing both a Bay City Rollers tartan suit AND a Rubettes cap. You just couldn't have both. Right kids?

Now, if your pupils had that attitude you'd be very disappointed.

I knew I'd get the title wrong. Oh, well, it sounded like "better" to my four-year old ears! Hey, I used to think Von was singing "Someday, someday, someday.... chlamydia!"

So that's why my bowels are the way they are then
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
