It's taken me all year...

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

So long as you liked it. Heh, if enough people liked it, we could all remix/remake Floodland.

i have just been listening to the Floodland Demos again  ...and i still can't see what it is that everyone was so excited about back in the day...

IMHO Floodland is still my least favourite album...

Don't make me burn you.

Seriously, I prefer some of the songs to other albums' ones.
Every song on it is better than Phantom, Torch is better than Possession, Colours isn't as good as the Sisterhood version, Flood I is better than Detonation Boulevard, etc.

i don't have a problem with anyone liking Floodland...to each their own...and i don't have any concerns that some of the tracks are possibly better than other tracks recorded by Messer :von: Eldritch and his cast of thousands...thats OK too...i just think that the album wasn't all it could have been at the time of release, and i was dissapointed with it within the context of contemporary artists at that time...

with that...i'm off to listen to the Mish!!

ciao

Heh, enjoy. I'm downloading all the originals now.
Ghostie songs, like Can The Can and Both Ends Burning (Ghost Dance versions are better), and Jolene, Gimme Gimme Gimme, etc.
