havent listened back but if you're right then it wouldnt surprise me. presumably adam would have been busy rehearsing with mc5 and chris was a fairly late recruit... maybe their minds were on other things...
listening to the recording of tilburg, they make a right hash of dr jeep too. by the time of thr 1st chorus eldritch is completely out because of the guitars
still, its rock and roll innit? who cares if its planned or not.
It also shows the absolute control-freakiness of Andrew. Everything can be as meticulously planned as you want to, but when something goes very wrong, he just misses some beats, start a ten-second thinking procedure and says "what the Hell, let's start some seventies lyrics. The rest will join in I hope. Those anoraks before the stage will love it as always".
Another artist would start stammering and hide behind embarassed laughter. Von just goes on with the show.
Respect!
IZ.

I wonder if he dishes out instant fines for bum notes like James Brown?

Even at the Pukkelpop Festival in 1992 where it wasn't sung a capella, Von fitted it in nicely to Sister Ray.
Where's the weed for that?
Listed under Hasselt. Drop me a PM if you want a copy, Steve.
(Not the best of recordings, though. Does anyone have the complete version available?)

Just took another listen. I won't be offering mine for weeding, because Sister Ray is cut at about 9:20 and fades out instead of the full 11:30 or so version I heard elsewhere.
Ah well. I have a sneaky suspicion it was mp3 sourced too.

To be honest, it's not a great gig anyway, just Sister Ray is worth it.
I disagree
That night in august 92 was my first Sisters gig and it rocked my world! They opened with Comfortably Numb/ Some Kind of Stranger and was a complete surprise! Very good moshin' during Alice & More, Bricheno let his guitar see all corners of the stage during Gimme Shelter and they used Fix (!), 1969 (!) & Sister ray(!!) to top it all off... SMASHING! Still in my top 3...next to Dour 97 & Lokeren 05.
About a weed: I have a dvd with that concert, but I can't copy dvd's... (the recording is pretty amateurish too)

Must be inside info that you're getting Quiffy
Not that we didn't know that, of course

Were you emailed by the man himself or one of his minions?

NB this is not necessarily a bad thing.
<edit> rethink. It probably is in this case.
"gimme gimme gimme" anyone?
and the music makes up for a lot...

I just noticed that Von sings a line from Uptown Top Ranking during the start of Lucretia-Tilburg 6.8.05.

The lyrics that Andy signs are far from the original lyrics... was he just improvising or doesn't he know the words?
