My dad was diagnosed with Type II recently too. They think he's had it for years without knowing.

Take care James.

:( Best wishes from me too.
And I too know a few people who manage to live with it without others realising unless they're told. So it's possible.
Take care.

<-------Knocked Out!

thanks everyone

I know I can get through this with guys like you around and I haven't felt well for years, so maybe this will sort me out.

I'd like to keep this thread open for everyone to air any problems they have, Boss, Mods?

Ach pretty soon you will feel better than you have done for years mate, trust me, I know a couple of people with type II. Once the drugs kick in you'll be thinking so that's what's been wrong with me all this time. A cloud will lift, believe me.

Awrabest bro, remember, I'm only a phone call away.

Maybe you have to watch the carbon hydrates closer now, but what is better than beating your teeth in a steak and have a good fresh salad with it?

I was "Nanny" for a 6 year old boy, a son of Friends, who caught type I diabetes and some other metabolistic malfunction, and I Know it´s no fun, but you´ll get used to it.

And remember the Steak... Yumm! :)

A younger sister of my ex girlfriend got it 3 years ago, when she was 10.

She deals very well with it! Just stay positive I guess and indeed; after the first "treatments" you will feel better....

Indeed and that's why you punch it between the eyes with that attitude and it can do wonders!

Being p!ssed off can have it's advantages! Mind over matter and all.

Sorry to hear it James. :(

Take care of yourself... and hope to see you at the gig next week. The McHeartlanders would be a straggling mess without your unifying presence and you knows it. :notworthy: 8)
