episode 3 is probably the only film ive watched where you KNOW exactly what is going to happen and have been fairly well satisfied by the route it takes to get there.

not like lord of the rings..........

I can cope (just) with Bombadil being cut; I don't really understand why they had Faramir take Frodo and Sam to Osgiliath, but OK, whatever, fair enough.

But the whole point of the book is The Scouring Of The Shire. I was gutted when I heard they'd left that out.
