Lets hope for that...
I guess the fact they're all mentioned on the 'we like' pages means they're not hopping inside to do just one tour, luckily. Just cross the fingers for this new bloke to be as good as addition as Chris is/was

Von is simply biting the bullet in every thinkable respect - touring the US (probably cheaper than before), hiring a new guitarist who can attract the HIM-crowds, and possibly even going to release a new record. After tonight, that last thing wouldn't surprise me the least.
But I miss Adam very much. He was a clever guy who balanced Eldritch even in writing on the home page, he was political, a polyglot - and couldn't be Andrews son by a wide margin like the two guys we have now.
Anyway here's to kick-ass gigs (especially in Philly!)
And don't get me wrong, I think Chris is very groovy!

but if it's about "fresh blood" etc.: Why would Adam leave the band when they'd finally publish a new album? I somehow can't see any musician NOT wanting to be part of that....
In fact: why the hell would he want to leave the band at all ffs?

On the site it says he has 'now finally relocated', so just private stuff perhaps

I wouldn't mind, although I don't hold my breath waiting for a new record. As to the HIM crowd - I'm slightly less impressed by that idea....

And he wasn't into Nick Kershaw or Bon Jovi for that matter... The youth of today sometimes makes me despair...

Could "in the band somewhat" mean "already recorded playing on the album which we're going to release at some stage"? Or do we believe that Andrew would ditch whatever was recorded with Varjak, Sheehan and Pearson to start from scratch with Catalyst and Christo?
I don't know what Adam is going to say if there was a record released with his songs on. After all it was he who wanted the $3 million to release a record, according to Andrew. But who knows?

I don't think that's his style. I don't thnk that Von would ditch Adam's "Summer" or Varjak's "Suzanne", or any of the other fine songs they've been playing since '98. I believe that if a new album comes out, it will have several historical layers to it - an Pearson/Varjak/?Sheehan section covering the 98-03 era, and then a new layer of Catalyst/Christo songs and performances over the top. Hell, he could even do a Kate Bush and put them on two separate disks for an old fashioned "double album".
It sounds indeed like a very good idea. But I guees they have to leave at least Adams songs out of that album, unfortunately.

I'm not impressed by that either, I'm afraid of it being part of the plan to bite the bullet.

Double would be nice
Though I really like albums that feel like the songs belong together better, when it's built around a theme and all that

I've been checking the Sisters site almost every hour for weeks.
Did not do it today and I read this....
I did not expect Adam to "leave(?)". He's been there since 1993 and will miss the 25th anniversary. Bit of a shame for him I would say. Anybody a clue why he "fully relocated"?
Between "ever forward" and the part about Adam there is a lot of space left. Will something be added? And if yes what will it be?
What an exciting band...more questions every day

there could be 1000 reasons why Adam left - personal stuff, other commitments, fancied a change... who knows. I'm sure it'll come out in interviews over the next few months, and it's probably amicable and mundane.

I hope there will be interviews. It has been a while ago. The man has been "quiet" for almost 3 years.
I guess it's amicable and would like it to be.....
In the "what we like" section Adam and Mike are still there. Chris Starling is gone....

Correct me if I'm wrong but: I think, Starling was never there.

Indeed. He had his own site but they were apparently "getting him to write something for the site" (or words to that effect).

Wasn't he? I thought he was....but then again....I would not bet a new recording on that
. And he stays the last person mentioned in the "other news" section.
Thanks for the info Motz.

my personal opinion:
I´m 26 and I´m a sisters fan since I was 13 or so ,and in that time, Adam was always involved whit...
Is difficult to believe that the guitar player that more time has been whit the sisters left the band in the year of 25th annyversary.
my first sisters gig was in 2001 in Leeds(the refectory)20th annyversary and it was really stunnin(probably I won´t see a gig better that leeds one)
and I thought that I´d see the sisters in the 25th annyversary as well(whit Adam...) but won´t be possible. I´ll miss him...
but now the thing is that Ben Christo is the new guitar player and I´m sure that he´ll fit in the sisters in the same way that chris did it in the last summer tour(I can say that ´cause I was in tilburg and lokeren and it was superb) so A BIG WELCOME BEN!!!
IT´S NICE TO HAVE SOMETHING NEW(DON´T GET ME WRONG I GREW UP WHIT ADAM IN THE SISTERS AND I WON´T FORGET IT...)

I noticed that Adam and or Mike have written the music to Summer, Romeo Down, Will I Dream and Suzanne. War On Drugs is entirely by Von.
Has anybody a clue about the other unreleased songs:
Crash And Burn, Top Nite Out, Slept, Come Together?

I am not so fond of Come together, but those who wrote the other two should continue writing as many sisters songs they can
erh, sorry, three
especially Top nite out

sad though people may be to see Adam leave you have to remember that during his time in the band we haven't had that many new songs (not considering the length of time involved), and no new releases at all. i'm not saying that that's necessarily down to adam but a new guitarist (two new guitarists really) could be the creative catalyst (ahem) required to kick-start a spurt of activity.
secondly we should remember that eldritch has never saddled us with a bad guitarist; there's little doubt that the new guy will be up to scratch.

Anyone else noticed that both guitarists have "Christ" in their name> Perhaps Von has been born again. What next, Reverend Avalanche?

Every guitarist after Marx has just been a session musician anyway.
The new one ... whassisname is just another in the line.
About the (old) new songs that the others wrote.
Since All About Eve reformed (split again...maybe reform again zzzzz) they have got through a few guitarists including session players. They had enough songs for the new album they were working on but couldn't use them because they couldn't afford to pay ex members royalties/fees. They had to completely scrap all the other stuff and start again.
Wouldn't be a bad thing if Eldritch dropped all of the dull s**t that the session players wrote.
New line up, fresh ideas, new energy, enthusiasm, positive outlook .. oh yeah, sorry goths ... ohhhhh the world's ending , it'll never be the same ....that faceless bloke - thingymabob has gone ..whaaaaaah.
You've gotta laugh eh

I noticed it and was about to write about it.
Nurse = Nun to the Reverend
Andrew = H. Andreas
Gospelrock? Would suit the name The Sisters Of Mercy
