I assume a "look but don't touch" policy was in operation throughout? Or aren't all men as possessive as I am?

Ah yes, but come Vegas, I might have dirty great Elvis sideburns to die for.

here - it's really really realy s**t!!! And I really mean that!
So unless you want to end up with the trots, STAY AWAY!

Quite. We had that place booked on our last excursion, then saw a few net-reviews, all in the same vein as yours Andrew, so we swapped sharpish. Stayed just of Leidesplein for the gig in 03 - nice place and handily situated - particularly if they play the Melkweg (still going strong, or it was). No idea what it was called though.
There goes my career as a travel guide.

The pictures are a bit of a give-away.
May I recommend for the discerning visitor....
http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?qs ... new&from=m with their very own pillow menu and staggering distance from anywhere you would want to be. Just don't get the fear in the posh restaurant.

To quote one of the reviews...
Although our level smelt of marijuana a lot of the time, we were impressed with the helpful staff, until...
What the f**k do you expect? You were in Amsterdam you knob jockey.
(Looks nice though!)

i was going to post a link for the hotel kabul on the Warmoesstraat but i can't find one where the reviews aren't horrendous....oh here we go:
clicky
actually it's a perfectly functional place to stay but it's really more for your proper traveller/poor people rather than your tourist. me an mrswhizz stayed there and the only problem was the weirdo guy of about 65 who was a convincingly possible serial-killer. he pretended not to understand
anybody -even though all of us in the dorm covered about six major european languages;and for the two days he was there he never left the room (verified by the staff) , he never slept (believe me i know - i watched him doing strange stretching exercises all night when i sat up speeding making sure he didn't cut everyone's throats!) and only ate raw steak
cut up with the biggest hunting knife i have ever seen a pensioner carry!.
but he's probably not there all the time.

Last time I stayed there we arrived back home to go up to the room and could not, for love nor money, wake the bloke behind the desk up. Shouting, throwing pens at him, banging, ringing the bell. We had to climb over and get the key ourselves in the end, only to realise we had the wrong key when we got to our door and had to re-navigate the mountain that is the stairs.
Unfortunately the pensioner with the hunting knife was nowhere to be seen! Shame - he sounds ace.

Oh god.. they are really slow on updating things... or, they are just teasing. Announcing a tour which reaches every country apart from the most obvious ones; and make it look like Paris is the last and final date.

I like the
More idea!
I just have a feeling if we sit tight a few more days we will see holland come up on that offical screen. Von likes the Dam and for all the right reasons too. Oh and if it does happen and anyone can't afford the hotels, my home is open to HL.
If you dare....
p.s. I think this is a tour to a new beginning?

I'm hoping for an Amsterdam date at least; mrs fiend has promised a trip there for my birthday (28 March) so maybe if we make it an April trip instead...
