I still can't believe I've been to a Bauhaus gig, it was Amazing, it could be the thing I've ever seen or heard live in my life, the sound was great, they played an excellent set, apart from all the Goffs :twisted: it was a great night, I just wish I was going to more dates :( , so for all of you who are going to see them over the next week or so, you'll have a great time :D :D

Absolute blinder of a gig!
Good to put some faces to names - however briefly - must arrive
earlier next time.

Only downside was our friend, who was driving, helpfully took our bags
out of his boot and placed them on the pavement without telling us.
The survival rate of an unattended bag on Sauchiehall Street is not good!

Amazingly, we got most of the stuff back after a couple of girls found it and used my mobile to call my mate's number.
The advantage to buying a really cheap handset - it's not worth stealing!
Unfortunately, somebody had already been through the bag and grabbed our house keys - bloody stupid as there was no ID in the bag - probably
mistook the security tag for an address one and tossed the keys later.

Oddly enough, everything more or less worked out after the locksmith we
called cancelled. I remembered I'd left the living room window unlocked and
was able to "break in" and get the spare keys.
Guess somebody out there likes me!

Enough with the drama - back on topic - damn fine gig - I envy those who
are set to see some more.
Hopefully the rumoured album will come out and it won't be another 23 years before they're back in Scotland.

Absolutely fcukin' incredible night! 8)

I was born a couple of months after Bauhaus last played in Scotland, so it was my first chance to see the band that were my absolute favourites (*whisper* - even above the Sisters) during my late teens. Not to mention the noble gentleman who - ahem - helped me survive those lonely years. :kiss: :twisted: :wink: :innocent:

Well, in recent years I haven't listened to them quite so much... but last night's gig was without a shadow of a doubt the best concert I have EVER been to. Fantastic venue and top company is always a good place to start :D . And once the show began... well...

Murphy's voice just blew me away. Rather than being simply a very pale imitation of their records, I'd second what Pat said - their records don't do them justice. To be just 10 feet (aaarrrrrggghhhh!) away from the booming lungs of that consumate showman was something else. And Ash's guitar playing was very impressive too... he made noises on that thing which I had previously thought must be synthesisers.

I'd have to scrape the barrel to come up with any criticism. The only real "classic" they didn't play was "Mask", which is one of if not my absolute favourite Bauhaus track. And Murphy, although not matching up to the description Pat was tormenting me with earlier "He's 15 stone with a beer belly now!" :eek: :lol: , is a slightly podgier, balding version of the cadaverously thin love god we once knew. Which made lugging him away in my suitcase after the gig slightly more difficult than I'd anticipated :twisted: . And Daniel Ash looks more like Bono with every passing year :lol: .

But now I'm just being petty. They were ace. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

And it was lovely to see you all there!

Agreed! Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet you as I left the pub early to ensure we got one of the comfy sofas to the side of the stage, which I ended up dancing on:-) The sofa I mean - not the stage. Great gig though. I hope they're as good in Brixton as they were last night.
