He says they are watching these two concerts closely and "we will see"euphoria wrote:And I have mailed the promoter to ask if there is an emergency plan IF the venues sell out quickly. Let's see what he has to say...
Well it's not a NO then at least

Hey! Go to work!
Wonder if Luger has capacity enough to book a venue like Baltiska Hallen or Scandinavium... concerts there needs some serious marketing, and often a band with a record company.
Pre-booked tickets last thursday at a local record store which always sell tickets for KB, they got them yesterday afternoon, so ...
Off in an hour for lunch and picking up the tickets!!!
KB is probably the best option in Malmö for a Sisters-gig, it will probably sell out, but it will be intimate, and very warm... They have been known in the past to admit more people than the 750 limit set by the fire inspectors... The top number I've heard from the staff is around 1200 = packed

jupp, I was there at Paradise Lost/Motorhead, around 1200 was the number, but that was too much.pandemon wrote:The top number I've heard from the staff is around 1200 = packed
don't think KB has an emergency plan. they were very hesitant in booking Sisters at all, since they didn't expect enough people to turn up.

i guess Luger is Sisters booking agency?TheBoyNextDoor wrote: But KB is not booking Sisters.. it's Luger. !?
KB is the venue, KB pays money to Luger for bringing Sisters to KB to play. If Luger wants to have a Sister-gig somewhere else in Malmö I guess they have to break their contract with KB.
a contract has obviously been signed since KB sells tickets to the gig.

Luger is a swedish booking agency, like EMA. And are located here: http://www.luger.seharlot wrote: i guess Luger is Sisters booking agency?

Anyway, if this is the case I really wonder why KB didn't want to book the Sisters in the first place.. when they book smaller band like Paradise Lost etc anyday..
KB weren't sure enough people would turn up and therefore hesitated in booking.TheBoyNextDoor wrote: Anyway, if this is the case I really wonder why KB didn't want to book the Sisters in the first place.. when they book smaller band like Paradise Lost etc anyday..
What I wrote is hearsay and supposed to be what Böna at KB have expressed.
1. Paradise Lost have released albums during the last 15 years.
2. Paradise Lost are probably not as expensive.

post removed, since it is not valid anymore...
FYI -it was about the party after the gig in Malmö, but since the pub where it was supposed to be held has been sold, it is no longer an option...

So, who´s going to this one?
Seeing since I live in Malmö (KB is about a ten minute walk from my place), it would be really awesome to have some kind of pre-show get-together. There are a lot of great pubs and such near KB, it´s only a question of how many of us are coming...
I already know TheBoyNextDoor and euphoria will be showing up, hopefully most of the other Swedish HLers...
But what about you Foreign People?

I'm going.
Dead End is of course available for a pre-concert get-together as well.
Dead End opens at 17.
Just decide what time for the get-together and I'll see to that proper music is played at Dead End.

spoke to the owner of KB saturday evening, thanked him for having TSOM there. He asked me if I thought anybody would show up and when I told him I thought it would soon be sold out, he more or less dropped his jaw
