Any pre or post show party going on in Gothenburg?

Exactly! Prepartys would be nice to know about.

Count me in on the pre-party.

Maybe someone know a good bar/pub/hak close to Trädgårn where we can meet?

I know lots but would be cool if there was an "official" pre-party.

You make a suggestion and we will call it official :)

is this really sold out?

the venue and ticknet told me to call/email promoter to reserve ticket from overseas, nothing about being sold out.

how did you all manage to book ticket through ticknet.se if they dont post to overseas addresses?

by TheBoyNextDoor
It fully booked according to ticnet.se and have been for about two weeks now. I don't know why they told you to email the promoter, though you might try it - you never know.

have had no reply from them. gah.

the nice lady at the venue told me to contact the promoter.
i'd given up on ticnet.se by then for being zenophobic ;o)

so, am now looking for a spare ticket.

gah!

if anyone has one, please let me know by pm or e-mail to the usual address

Malmo better than Göteborg?

Strange that Malmö can provide a afterparty but not Gothenburg... thought that the peopole in Gothenburg see the town as the pearl of Sweden but as it seems now Malmö is stealing the glory

Been looking forward to this for 16 years now. Never seen them live before and hopefully they will add up to my standards. Couldn´t sleep last night and am not thinking about sleeping tonight either.
-Come on Andrew! Give me what you got!
Damn, I´m so charged!!

My first Sisters concert since '91. I'm really looking forward to this...

The crowd sucked but the show was very good. Thightest band I've ever seen.

Smoke, smoke, smoke...Where's Eldritch and his band? Sisters are a drum machine, a bass player one or two guitarists and Eldritch. The virtual bass player makes the band less good. The concert in total is barely ok.

Andrew, you can do better than this!

Don't get surprised if some dudes and dudettes from around here don't agree with your version of the story. :innocent: 8)

yeah, right, hamburg had a lot of smoke - but not at all too much. more smoke would have made me think some band called fields of the nephilim could enter the stage - but wait, there was no flour

it has been said often enough - smoke is a band member...

greetings,
fitzgig

Just back from the gig.

setlist:

Crash and Burn
Ribbons
Dr. Jeep/Detonation Blvd
When you don't see me
Flood 1
Suzanne
Giving Ground
Summer
Dominion
Slept
Alice
Anaconda
Romeo Down
I was Wrong (aborted)

Much better sound then in Malmoe, and the lightshow, oh my.....
really great.

Thanks to the idiots in the audience who could´t shut the f**k up during the intro to I was Wrong. Eldtrich got really mad and changed right to This Corrosion.

It's a shame that Burn keeps getting missed out of the setlists, but I'm glad when you don't see me is there :D

But in regards to von skipping straight to this corrosion...Fair enough if you go to a gig you pay to see the band and so be fairly quiet when they are on...but unless they were booing or something I don't see why von had to go and skip the song. Try getting a whole venue full of people to be silent...you have to expect some chatter...especially from excited gig goers etc...and surely for the benefit of the other however many people that paid to see the sissies and were focused completely on them von could ignore a few chatterers! :?
To be honest, much respect to the man, but the fault of that one was primarily on vons attitude I think

Yep!

I Was Wrong is very beautiful and is most impressive when it's quit in the house.

5000 people In Le Zenith where silent and listened.... :notworthy:

Didn't he ask you to shut the f*ck up?

What Eldritch really said:

You know the drill

You really asking for trouble aren´t you

????Punchy or punished from your fellow man

starts to sing
sings for some secs.
stopps singing

Ahh... ok, this not good. Next one.

You had your chance, you blew it.

This corrosion starts up.

A bit in This corrosion:

Now you can make some noise, go on.

A bit in temple of love.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.

???????Bad bristol???

????Bad Mother f**ker???

Rather bad review of the Gothenburg gig in GP (Gothenburg Post).

http://www.gp.se/gp/jsp/Crosslink.jsp?d=286&a=270626

And one in Expressen.

Isn´t the KB review from Expressen in the wrong thread?

In my (and my friends) opinion, the Göteborg gig was great! :notworthy:

And the audience didn´t suck! Maybe in the back but who ever cares about them?

Oh my god! The long wait is over. This gig is right up there with Nine Inch Nails in Hultsfred last year and White Zombie in Sthlm 95-96(?).
I was laughing my head off when they stopped playing "I was wrong". So was Eldritch. Looked like he kind of enjoyed beeing interrupted :)
Best moments of the gig was Ribbons and of course This Corrosion :notworthy:
By the way I was the annoying big guy up front who kept jumping into people. Couldn´t help myself. I was just feeling the need to move.

And the rewiew in GP is the same as in Sydsvenskan, word by word! (Check the KB thread....)

With I was wrong i think he expected a repeat of the singalong in Malmö, and when it didnt happen he interrupted it, which was in a way understandable and very amusing. He seemed moved by the singalong in Malmö.

Amazing show, a bit more smoke than Malmö but more beautiful lights. Both shows were amazing in my opinion, but then I have only been a fan since late 1990 and only seen them (or rather him) the both times in Arvika, so who am I to judge..... :innocent:

Now I´m off into the beautiful sunshine with the dogs...

Maybe I´ll return...maybe not

Yes, "I Was Wrong" was the highlight of the Malmö concert.
