Maybe there is nothing to update
maybe he think that official site is now less correspondence than hl, so any updates make no sense

Buying tickets for the Sissies before a confirmation is an act of deep lunacy, as has been unfortunately demonstrated in the past. In the words of Father Ted: "Carfeul now."

My thoughts exactly. He's always updated before.

Just wait and see......

Where is this? I do believe I owe Mr PoB a pint and this might be a smoker friendly venue?

Belgium, outdoors festival, so I doubt whether there'll be much anti-smoking police around
(IIRC only forbidden in indoor venues and on the actual stage)

BBQ and pre-gig p*ss up at Casa Del ARF is still on, but seeing as me and the missus will be attending the two Neph gigs in London's Sheperd's Bush on July 12 and 13, the missus can't stay until the Sissies gig. So y'awl will have to meet her another time and place...

I'm not stirring s**t. We've all seen non-confirmed Sissies gigs pulled for a variety of reasons in the past, and as they're pretty sodding unlikely to sell out these days unless they're playing a pub, it's really not worth the risk till Our Glorious Leader confirms the date/s.

If Sissies are going to be pulled I'd like to do the pulling please!
In the past all YOU lot have complained moaned and groaned like old men who haven't been laid in the last couple of months...same for you!
Us fans of said group have the faith that our fearless leader shalll provide what has been promised or else his ass is grass to be smoked in my pipe!
So as far as I'm concerned....
...can take his usual self and only ccnfirm a second before the gig!
I still have faith in that lovely god...

But are you coming to the gig Rob, if indeed it is confirmed? Or are you more of a Neph man?!?

I've just remembered why I don't come here very often.
Those of us who know what we're talking about, and actually have done some proper station-sleeping, random-country, don't give a f**k Sissies gigging, occasionally feel we should share the advice that sometimes, in-fact, more often than anyone would hope, over-enthusiastic promoters confirm gigs before Mr Eldo puts pen-to-contract. On those occasions, sometimes said gig doesn't friggin' happen, leading to ticket buying folk watching bad Euro-goff replacement bands playing in garden centres near Bruges.
I'm not suggesting this is going to happen this time, just passing on the FACT that it might.
Goodbye ya friggin' amateurs. Grow up.
Sorry Barry, but this place just attracts too many Goff knobs.

Oh mr. RobF don't let them upset you please!
Indeed we get the random odd ball in here just before a tour and most of us hoping to go to this gig are as I see it hard core Sisters fans!
Many of us are also loyal posters to this little unofficial forum and we also pay our respects here capturing every moment we can of this band and some of us even post amazing reviews for HL so as a fan based forum of the highest level of clever monkeys we are also the loving bunch of fans that does give a sh!t what happens if ever or not...
Barry you are still the god of HL babe so thanks for us having this little home because of that band!

Someone far far down the Mekong I suppose?
Certainly no one that lives on Kirkstall Rd. that's for sure.

I'm with Rob on this one. Don't panic, it's not going to sell out, do they ever anymore? If it does, go see the next one. No offence to folk of Tienen, but do we need another gig at a small town in Belgium? Ternat, St Vith, that one last year?
Not too sure about sleeping at train stations though, cars at service stations..now your talking. Showers, breakfast, truckers, what more could you wish for. The glamour of touring. The locals hate you, no dancing or moving (USA), backward looking Sisters fans. Can't wait...
matt..

Problem is though, if there's one place where they're likely to sell out on the entire globe, it's most probably Belgium. And if the promoter decides to put a crappy but somewhat successful local act on the bill the same day, risk is we're not getting in anymore...
boudicca wrote:I am in a bit of a quandry about what to do tickets-wise... now or later? Hmmmm....
I still have to wait due to restricted budget. If all else fails, we can still sit on a terrace nearby to have a drink and a laugh at random passers by,
non?
