awesome gig. Band and crowd on top form. Similar set to Dublin i think (we missed on the wire though). Lots of smiling faces on the way out. Perfect venue for gig too. As von said 'we used to hate playing London... but this place....'

Sorry I'm sure I'll be destroyed, but if that qualifies as a "good" gig then the girls are in worse shape than I thought. (I'm typing this on my phone on the way home)
As I mentioned on another thread I would happily pay Andy to see tonights gig despite how bad the last time I saw them was, BUT once they butchered Marian then, sorry I'm checking out. In my head the Sisters will be forever frozen in April '85 and I'm happy to live in that delisonial world.

Is it me or did Andy get a bit lost in a couple of songs: the end of Flood II and the break in No Time To Cry for instance?

Every song is a 21st century interpretation/re-work of those '80s songs. If you go expecting Marx/Hussey guitar work then you're bound to be disappointed.

The Roundhouse is a great venue and the sound tonight was great. Crash & Burn was definitely the highlight for me

It wasn't a good gig - it was an amazing gig, for a host of reasons.
Venue was superb, should result in some great pics, recordings and video footage.
Sound was fantastic - best sound at a Sisters gig for long time, and I say that as someone who first saw them in 85.
Von in playful mood, clearly enjoying himself - ditto the gunslingers
Just the right amount of smoke, and you could definitely feel the Doktor.
Guitar lines in NTTC need reworking - but that's about the only gripe.
and as for Marian, its 2011, that's what Marian should sound like, personally I loved it....

I wasnae even going to go. Most pleased I was persuaded into having a look. After the few bloody dreadful 06 and 09 gigs I did I was sworn off, but that was a corker. I can even ignore the flouncy-haired twiddler now.
...what made it good....erm, you could actually frigging hear them! Vocals and all, a properly paced setlist and some energy. That seemed to do it. RAHP doesn't work though.

Gotta agree with Randall on all those points tonight (84 for me, fwiw). Thought Alice was great tonight. Too tired to type now though, not as young as I used to be!! The Enterprise was a good pub to start from as well.

Great gig!
Wasn't the best atmosphere I've ever felt at a Sisters gig (Leamington Spa or XXX top it for that) but it was by far and away the best sound and performance (both vocally and instrumentally) I've ever heard from them.
Von was good and loud, the gunslingers shot to kill (loads of cool feedback washes and things), even the Dok sounded better than usual. Loads of cool new merch too.
Really really happy.

Roundhouse was as good a performance as I have seen in recent years. I particulary liked the venue, sound was great and Nurse's booth looked fab. The FALAA stuff does sound very different, but fits with what the Sisters are now. They actually looked like they were enjoying it.
