The all new 'Who's Going Where and When' thread

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

James Blast wrote:Michael I would say "Their latest album's great so you'll really enjoy it". But, they're renowned for playing live sets of all new material. I saw them back in the 80s and they didn't play one song I recognised.
I'm overdue a report on this. It was AWESOME! Best gig I've seen in at least 5 years; of course I only knew 4 or 5 songs, but that didn't seem to matter, everything worked perfect and I'm even halfway tempted to drag out the vinyl of Manscape that I played the first 3 tracks of and then chucked away back in the day.

So - Wire - if you get the chance, see them! :notworthy:
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

March Violets this weekend. Hebden Bridge (Sat) and Preston (Sun).

Preston is with Inca Babies and Flesh For Lulu.

Last time I saw FFL was supporting The Sisters in May 1984. I expect they'll look a little older

I can imagine 8)

I liked the album and they were even better live! Too bad almost nobody showed up so it felt like a private gig... and they didn't seem to let that spoil the fun.
They even did a brandnew song they hadn't done before.
Too bad I didn't get to talk to them afterwards as someone needed to apologize for all those ignorant people that missed a great band :notworthy:

Next up: Blues Pills, Scorpion Child and the mighty Orchid on the 2nd of november!
