Worst Sisters songs.

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I made my first contact with The Sisters of Mercy when I was 11.

I loved them from the first time I hear it.

Nice one. I hope it's trashed properly. ;)

We've got surf songs, a ditty by a techno/goth band, a catholic hymn and a couple of Pet Shop Boys songs to prepare for live use.
Only two have been decided on, and one looks like it's going to be studio-recorded, once a few minor details have been sorted out.
Worry. :von:

EDIT: Umm.. Robert, have you seen this? :?

While I'd maintain there's no bad songs, Some Kind of Stranger is a song I seldom listen to all the way through, even though the album is great. Not that it's a bad song, I just don't do that romantic stuff, I can't relate to it. :(

My thoughts exactly. Since when was it a love song? More a lust song than anything else.

Quite true. Not a love song, more of a lust song indeed. Same reason though.

SKOS a "lust" song?

More like "a quick dirty bonk to make the time pass" song. Or a "you're female, you'll do" song.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Only song I seem to skip is 1969. Seems a bit out of place with the rest of the album and a bit "throw away, thrashy" for my liking. :?

After so much fun with this unique thread I wonder if somebody mentioned "Alice" so far.

Technically, it's not a Sisters song. :innocent:

I couldn't really believe how someone can't stand the original.
