Someones added a link to 2 dates in Poland at the beginning of April on the EM facebook page:

Friday, March 30 at 7:00pm in Konin, Poland
Sunday, April 1 at 8:00pm at Johnny Rocker, Poznan

Any chance of something less exotic, like Guildford or Croydon (again)?!?!?

Hopefully some stuff to speak of soon.

What's Poland like in April?

Oh, and I'm told by someone on Facebook that there's one in Darlington too, although I don't know where/when as yet.

Part of Poland where EM will be playing is region where temperature is above average; in april it should be nice (not Spain but, also not Syberia)

Nice. Don't know if I can get the time of work, but it's really tempting...

Hot news! Eureka Machines will be on (UK soap opera) Emmerdale this Thursday (11th October) at 8pm (note: there are two episodes that night). It's part of their 40th anniversary celebrations and the current run of episodes features a festival organised by cast members (I can't tell you which as I've never seen the show). So you should see them onstage at some point. The other bands playing are The Proclaimers, Scouting For Girls and fellow Leeds compatriots DeLorean Drivers.

It'll be on ITV Player afterwards for UK types.

I gave up Emmerdale for Lent about 2 years ago but did record it tonight and forwarded it the appropriate bit.

Yaaaay!

However, I didn't FAST forward it so now I have some questions... the bloke behind the bar sounded like Vicar Ashley so when and why did he grow a beard and why was he working behind the bar? When did the woman who used to run the shop in Shameless move to Emmerdale? When did Alan Turner get old?

My giving it up for Lent coincided with Cain leaving ;)

Vicar Ashley beat his Dad up, lived on the streets for a bit and grew a beard.

Woman from shameless started about three months ago.

Alan Turner was old when the plane crashed, I think.

The Eureka Machines were great but not on for long enough.

I'd like to make it clear that I don't watch Emmerdale.

Hope it's OK for me to put this in both of the EM threads currently wandering the boards!

The PledgeMusic site for the third Eureka Machines album is now live! Go here if you want to get involved:

There's the usual album preorder thing... and a couple of very interesting propositions at the bottom of the list...

i read some minutes ago the pledge page of eureka machines and while i was reading an idea appeared in the horizon... ;D

i suppose it will be fine if i pay 300 to write me a song (Full Band) with these lyrics in it as cover :

"Had a sense it couldn't last
Watched the wonder wander past

Held it briefly, set it free
There is a space above me

Everything will come and go
There is a curve that I don't know
Don't need it otherwise but
No-one reads the book of lies and
No-one looks into the void as
Anything but paranoid and
Anything that you would be will
Swerve and hurt eventually
And I'm ungood if I can't shout
Without the vowels or the label out
Escorted from my desk
Unable to unheed

From heroine to heroin
Cash out and head on in to
Burlesque and snake-oil charm
Flashing lights and fakir calm
Shine your knives and sinecures
Your red-top wives, your gurning poor
As ye sow so shall ye find your
Car ...is burning at the mine

Decent men and women form a line and dance in time - it's a far parade
The ghost of war, the painted whore, dial up one nine one four - it's a far parade

Decent men and women form a line and dance in time - far parade
Distant men and women form a line and dance in time - far parade
Distant men and women form a line, form a line - far parade
Distant men and women form a line, form a line - far parade
"

and ofc share it with all the other pledgers with only one condition, dear mr. :von: participate somehow in the proccess :notworthy:

Does it worth the try? What do you think ? :?:

That is a great idea!

Maybe you could ask Chris on Formspring if he thinks it would be OK.

If you had Martin Chuzzlewit sideburns, a cheek-covering banana suit might seem like a good idea, too, if you had to stand around in Leeds town centre on a chilly afternoon. Still can't put my finger on who the Eurekas remind me of though, but another top choon and another great video from Ash TV. :notworthy: I suggest the Sisters tour manager signs them up for the next tour (assuming there is one next time the cupboard of Sheba is bare) :innocent:

the band dodgy? that chorus sounds very dodgy which is no bad thing, they were a good 90's band.

Definitely the Dodgy/Wonderstuff era for the positive power pop, but with a Cardiacs influenced early Supergrass (Caught by The Fuzz, Strange Ones etc) psychedelic twist.
