If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

On toast. With butter or margarine. I'll decline the peanut butter though, thanks.Hom_Corleone wrote:Now this is the spread of the Gods....(especially with crunchy peanut butter)
Can't stand Marmite though, vile stuff.
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

I would bother if it was all in the mind, it's in the body - the body still knows best

"Does the body rule the mind or does the mind rule the body, I dunno...."
Actually I do know, I make no mind/brain distinction, line those Carthesian duallists up against the wall I say
I just reckon we can do better, you know. And I don't feel this separation from men, which is perhaps the reason I can't stop myself wandering into their thread (or maybe I just like winding them up, I'll let you be the judge! ).

Well since my esteemed Debs seems to give the green light I have to say, it is rather bothering me too, hence my stepping out of the Ladies' thread for a bit. I'm reluctant to say it because I have a lotta lotta love for the Sisterhood (no, emphatically NOT that one), you are some fantastic women, but I always feel a bit false doing the whole "girly" thing. I have tried, but I'm not really feelin' it. I find Physics as interesting as painting my nails, and I've been playing air guitar since I was 10. I don't even believe in PMT and I don't think chocolate is better than sex. And I feel very awkward getting all huggy with anyone I don't know really well.MadameButterfly wrote:ain't that the truth! i've never known it to be like thisJames Blast wrote:Å“strogen is hi-jacking threads l, r & c in HL these days

Physics (as phylosophy) is way much more interesting that painting nails.boudicca wrote:"Does the body rule the mind or does the mind rule the body, I dunno...."

Chocolate is No frigging way better than sex.
That said, what I think is that we just gave it a go, we "tried" the girly thing but as I can see, never lasts too long as what really interests "us women", I think, is much bigger than those topics we tried to address in the ladies thread.
I'm not a girly girl myself -even if someone could be totally sure that I'm the queen of the bints (but this is down of not having a clue about who I really am, which comes down to the "problems" of knowing people through a screen) but every once in a while is kinda "fun" being like this.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go back to reading Kierkegaard...
