Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.
Driving back home

Oh yeah. Think I’m safe with what I’m doing. It’s more a question of "do I want to work in this place, if the new DG’s vision becomes a reality".
It’s feels...different. And a bit less pleasant, truth be told.
Maybe I just prefer the old DG.
Could be worse, you could be stuck at Talkradio in Gammon Towers.
....if I have to explain, then you'll never understand....
@markfiend The Alan Parsons Project are still played frequently on all these Classic rock radio stations here, I just hadn't ever seen the album cover. The thing I'm wondering about now is why so many antique shops here keep advertising "huge shipments from England!" I don't remember antique shops when I visited England many years ago, but surely they aren't focused on huge shipments of American antiques lol. @Swinnow It is actually that hot here

Ah I see - looking at Wikipedia they do seem to have had more success in the US than their native UK

In the US you only have about five hundred years worth of antiques until it turns into archaeology whereas in England we're so overrun with old stuff that we have to export it.
I'm surprised you didn't see any antique shops here; the nation is obsessed to the point of there being antique-themed TV game shows. And that's just one example.

@markfiend I was with someone that was more interested in seeing the inside of pubs, and a No Doubt concert at Brixton. I didn't even get to see the Westminster Abbey and really wanted to. I'm going to check those game shows out, sounds fun

Listening to other people’s problems, because that’s what introverted people who are listeners instead of chatty Cathy’s get. I should’ve become a therapist instead of a florist and get paid for this. But I don’t think I could take it all day everyday, I can be brutally honest and people don’t like that! Other than that, I read some of the only UTR issue I have and some of Andrew’s responses in the Correspondence thing are hilarious, and long. So much to read, so little time.

Having a Dentist appointment for a routine filling and then finding out the decay has gone deeper and need a root canal filling which is a 2 hour visit , wonderful .
While I’ve been waiting on the IRS & state of Louisiana to send me the tax ID numbers I’ve applied for so I can work for my own self, I’ve been finding things at thrift stores that catch my eye and selling them on eBay. Except today, today It’s rainy and I got a craving for chocolate chip cookies, but I wound up just eating cookie dough and spent the last few hours feeling like the Pillsbury doughboy. Anyway, if any of you ever see a Chiclana Marin doll, buy it and list it. I had no idea it would be so highly regarded and the bidding would get so high

@DJElectricDaddy So do you keep your accent or do you start to sound like the people around you over time? I still don’t understand half the people in my area, and I sure don’t understand Coach O from LSU

today I'm feeling my age. I drank three pints last night and woke up hungover. That's absolutely pathetic.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.
