THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. 16th February. The official birthday of the Sisters. Anything that came before can be considered the pregnancy. 'The Damage Done' is the three month scan. Craig joining is the day they found out if it's a boy or a girl.

It's only in writing this that I noticed the first official gig took place on a Monday night. Had it in my head that with it being a CND benefit show, it was part of an all dayer on a Saturday. Reading NVL's blog (http://sistersfan.blogspot.com/2017/05/ ... found.html) I see that it was just a nondescript Monday night in York.

22 February has brought quite a few concerts in Sisters History:

- London Astoria during the EXXILE ON EUPHORIA TOUR 2001

- a concert at Gypsy Ballroom, Dallas, USA during the Sisters Bite The Silver Bullet Tour of 2006

- the starting gig of the Mechanised Europe Tour in 2009 at Ancienne Belgique, Brussels, Belgium

- a further concert at Ancienne Belgique, Brussels, Belgium during the SISTERS XXX 30th Stage Anniversary Tour in 2011

- and finally so far, the concert at Powerstation, Auckland, New Zealand,
the first concert ever in New Zealand and the first one of Part III of the SISTERS XXX Anniversary Tour

That was a lovely gig I really enjoyed - well ok, it had some minor sound failures, but hell, that's life! Sadly enough, no recording has ever surfaced ... a pity.
