Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

That should be the album playlist for False Lankum on their youtube channel, though I don't think the whole record is there. It came out earlier today, and I'm about 3/4 of the way through my first listen.

It's not really a good description of what Lankum do, but the best description I could give of their sound would be something like latter-day Swans trying to play Irish trad. Lots of long, slow songs, drones, and deconstructed standards (i.e., The Pride of Petravore on 2019's The Livelong Day). I love 'em.

Ghost will play in Athens in June. Is it worth to go see them? :notworthy: :bat:

I've seen Ghost a couple of times now and they put on a fantastic show. I can't say that I really blame young Mr Catalyst if he prefers working with Ghost rather than the Sisters.

I just stumbled across this entirely by chance, and it is one of the greatest things I've ever heard. The title doesn't do it justice - phenomenal playing, it's simply beautiful. It's "late night, all alone, with the lights down low and a bottle" kind of music I guess. Not background music either - I find it completely absorbs my attention.
