Gwen , no inner sleeve, so I guess yours was added by the seller to avoid scratches.

What's the general condition of DD's? Do the records tend to be scratched and rubbish or are they decent? What condition are your copies in guys?

And, is there anyone on here who has owned a copy since it was released?

Mine's in great condition. Didn't get it on release though. Only got it a couple of years ago.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

No just bought it half year ago but have to say sleeve and record mint (earlier owner seperated sleeve and record and putted them in different protection sleeves). I am just wondering how many of the originally 1000 does excist these days...? 500? Nobody knows...

Tx for the answers friends!

Mine's pretty minty, got it in 84 for about $40 via mailorder. About 500 were destroyed the second year of release by accident, so only 500 maximum are in circulation. Of these, many have surely disappeared over time. The rarer copies have the labels on the correct side, i.e., the head+star side plays Damage Done, while the "text" side plays Watch and Home of the Hitmen. Most copies play reverse labels (mine does). There was also a version that came with a small flyer inserted into it when Merciful Release had a stock sale (82? 83?) to try and sell off the remaining copies which no one cared enough to buy upon release.
