You're never too old.
Glad you enjoyed it; sorry we missed you after the show, things got slightly confusing for a short while there (trying to find Koen -
twice!)

Ah twas great to see you and everyone again sir. Stayed in the Olympia bar after the show then didn't get tooooo lost wandering to the hotel afterwards. Me sense of direction is always dodgy. But had a great night.

absolutely awestruck. It was everything i wanted and more! The lights and ice were impecable. The sound (in the circle) loud and clear. The set list was suprising... No Suzanne, Romeo, Giving Ground, Flood, Kiss or even Rain..? Very punter friendly! Particularly the run of F&L&A material. I thought they may have shot their methaphorical load with TC appearing so soon but the momentum kept going. This, to me is easily the best line up of the last 15 years!
I have to say i'm shocked that an earlier post could call it average. Shocked and jealous at imaging what awesome sights must have been seen to have such a low opinion of last night. A roll call of gigs on par with LCD soundsytems Losing My Edge perhaps?! But each to thier own, yeah?

Sounds like it was a pretty good show. Nice that they played so much from FALAA. Too bad no Far Parade or any other new songs.

Three words they should add to the setlist for at least the next four years
Rain.
From.

SISTERS IN 30th ANNIVERSARY TOUR T-SHIRT SHOCKER
Andrew S will kill me for this because he wants to buy one before everyone else sees it. But I had to post it.
Sorry Andrew
I already have my eye out for them, they appear in the photo of the merch stand that is linked to earlier in the thread. Technically of course,it isn't a tour shirt, just a Reptile House one. But it is very nice anyway!

Got one of those, nice to have a shirt with the old head and star on it.
Top night out, really great to see so many familiar faces and to see a great sisters show in my hometown. Thought it took a little while to find its stride but it really moved up a few notches in the last few songs. No volume or voice problems at all. Von in great form, a solid performance all round.
Looking forward to tonight's gig greatly. See ya later !

well , Dr Poo has been to many, very many Sisters gigs. This is not the first time he's called an awesome gig 'average' so no need to be shocked.

"JESUS LOVES THE SISTERS" is back.
But there don't seem to be any tour specific shirts. Time to stock on the dodgy ones outside?
Not a great selection - I was hoping to replace the Gift t-shirt that I left in a taxi on Friday night.
The sound was good as it usually is in The Olympia but the amosphere was fairly muted for a long time because of the ludicrous "health & safety" approach there. No great surprises in the setlist either (apart from the fact that there was nothing off Gift) but maybe that's because it's a long time since they've played in Dublin. Anyway I enjoyed it and that's the main thing.
We met Ben in Fibbers after and he was a model of patience and generosity as usual! And people complain about young folk these days...

dublin- great gig.
tonnes of positives - really enjoyable set list (though missing RFH, much to my disappointment), sound great, lights great, lots of nice people and the olympia is such a cool venue. we dragged Ben round to fibbers after and he was absolutely great craic. I may have shamed myself horribly by simultenously being a bit of a fan girl trying to make him dance to the b52s
patience of a saint.
only few negatives - bloody barrier across the middle of the room really spoiled the atmosphere and security were very heavy handed -had to take all my belts and spikes off to get in to the venue and they were very quick to haul people out of the crowd. just doing their job though i guess?
nice to see some familiar faces - sorry if i missed saying hello to lots of folk, i am always worried about misidentifying people - thanks to everyone who came to say hello to me (especially the charmer who grabbed my hair and tried to find out if it was a wig - its not, its just really big!) but definitely loads of nice people missing.
wish i was coming to london too, sad to be missing it
just a few, since i forgot my camera, so these are rubbish blurry iphone specials that refuse to resize!

Had an awesome time. Fantastic gig - these xxx shows really have been consistently good!
Incidentally, as it was a home town show, I was able to get a casual vox pop from pals who had either never seen them before or, hadn't seen them since the early 90's... The uniform opinion was everyone was utterly blown away by how good The Sisters are.
Those that had never seen 'em thought the lightshow and fog fest was one of the most atmospheric shows they'd ever seen. There was thumbs up for the set list, the band, Eldritch's voice, the overall sound.
The group that hadn't seen them since the 90's, thought they were better!
One summation was elequently put... when so many of their peers are doing album tours to bring in the punters, or diluiting the magic with new albums giving dimishing returns... The Sisters just do what ever the f**k they want, when they want and how they want. Here here!

Nice pictures.
Judging by the position of your Chris Catalyst pics you must have been stood right by me. Where you in the front section with the lady on the rail who was pregnant? I was stood directly next to her on her right.
