agree...a return to form, I went to see her during the White Chalk tour and I really didn't get in to it at all...however she always commands my total respect and admiration because whatever she does, she does it with panache & conviction...she never follows 'fashion' much in the same way as
. Here endeth the lesson....

I read the other day that she was asked to be the singer in a reformed Nirvana.

Oh yeah, I've been following here since Dry and no 2 records are the same. Is This Desire? being a fave, Let England Shake is definitely up there too!
Also gigwise she has never disappointed me. Pure class That Polly

I don't see her doing something like that. But if she would, it'd be a vast improvement over that McCartney fella

BOWIE - The Next Day
Several Times
What strikes me about it, apart from the fact that it is wonderful. All the tracks seem to be short and they all sound like Bowie.
The second point may be stating the bleeding obvious, but it is as if he has listened to his back catalogue and done some kind of pastiche.
A bit like "Buddha" was of early 70's music
Maybe with him not having recorded anything for so long he had to play his other stuff to know what he should sound like.
