Delighted you got to experience Rain from Heaven too.
I'm uploading the video of Rain from Heaven to YouTube now.

Obviously I am more of the fan of small venues, small stages and closed spaces. This is the only thing that did not fit my picture. I know I should expect it, but still .... It also influences lights since I could not get the the right feeling (nevermind the technical glitch).

On the other hand and what was much more important is that music was great. The Rain From Heaven is really a very strong song and in my opinion it was the culmination of the evening. I am very happy that Von decided to include it because Gift is really a perfect album.

In some moments I was getting the feeling that Von is really trying to show us that the voice is still there and few moments I was convinced that it was. I can not say that rest was not good, rest was as always - properly played and properly sung, but I was enjoying (when I was not being thrown around) these few special moments.

Although I must say that I missed The Healing Hand song, but that is my own small universe. Since I never heard Good Things live it was a nice surprise for me and I welcome small changes (throw a song out, get the song in - each time you play) that make each gig different from previous. This would also take strong arguments away from Mr. Blast because he is right - it was almost always the same setlist.

It would be nice to have Giving Ground and Rain from Heaven on the same setlist, but there is plenty of time for that - the 30 years should be celebrated properly.

Not to forget - No Time To Cry - THANK YOU. It was excellent.

Anything to say about Chris and Ben would be just repeating old stuff - only thing that I can add is that they really are an integral part of the band and even if Von gets the crazy idea to change the guitar players I am convinced that it would not be the same. Usual notion that Von and dr. Avalanche are the Sisters of Mercy and that everybody else is expendable is not applicable anymore (at least for me).

Combination of great music, meeting new friends, meeting old friends that I have not seen for long time is the reason why I can hardly wait for next occassion (even if I have to go to Leeds  ).

@Obviousman - thank you for your help, count on me anytime you come to Croatia.

I do not understand people that say that there was too much fog. How can there be too much fog ?

Yes, this is correct, and is what I was thinking on Tuesday night. Chris especially is an utterly essential part of the Sisters, and it's now difficult to image them without him.

It was a very nice concert. I really loved NTTC which is one of my all time favourites. Von looked very fit en in a good mood. Especially Christ played very well. He is indeed a strong member of TSOM.

PS: announcement at big screen @ Lokerse feesten:

"Sisters of Mercy bestaan volgend jaar 30 jaar en geven hiertoe een concert in basis Leeds"

or

"Sisters of Mercy excist 30 years next year and give a special concert in hometown Leeds".

Any insider can confirm?
I think this is just speculation, just like on the Wikipedia page:

"In 2011, the band will celebrate their 30th anniversary. While the customary mid-February show in or nearby the city of Leeds is yet to be announced, one is expected to be held."

Anyway, I thought last night was a great gig and as good as the Lokeren 2005 gig. Good sound, not too much smoke, lights looked stunning. Very similar setlist as on Tuesday, so no surprises. The crowd on the right was on great form and good to see so many old faces again. I'll sort out my photos when I get home, but from a quick look I got some really good ones.

Roll on M'era Luna.
