Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Best Kept Secret Festival near Tilburg tomorrow: PINS, Mogwai, Slowdive & The War On Drugs.
Too bad Zeno can't make it in the end, but heck with a line up like that even that can't pull me down! Slowdive!

Like the Sisters, could be s**t or could be great!
what did you think of it then stu?
Somewhere between the two but much closer to greatness than s**t
Bit too much filler between the sketches but can't be helped cos they're all so bloody old, its impossible to say a bad word about them though - looking forward to seeing it again on the telly when its on.
(I did go back and check and I have to confirm that Bey is better than Gaga, sorry Lee )
Currently wandering the Florida Keys in a very fast black car. Life is pretty good.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.
Just off to Bristol to see my son, Rocky. it's a long day of mostly trains and it eats up half of my total monthly spendables but it is more than worth it for the four hours a month i see him. he's going to 9 in a fortnghts time so we will be spending today mostly cruising computer game shops while he chooses his presents.

What's that like as a venue ? Looks an interesting place ... Sounds like the kind of historic venue TSOM like to play (hint, hint, Mr Catalyst, if you're lurking), and as bangs on in the VLR interview about how important the Republic of West Yorkshire is to the band, they are overdue a return visit.
Nik it's a fantastic venue , one of the best. Once went to a Kate Bush tribute there a few years ago, and was very impressed with the venue. Big stage, and nice bar to the back of the concert hall. Reminds me a of Manchester Apollo , but smaller.
Think it holds about 3,000 at a guess where Apollo holds about 8,000 at another rough guess.
Only downside Holmfirth does not have a railway station , so getting there without a car is hard to do as no late buses back to Leeds etc.
Lucky for me though, I am getting a lift from Dewsbury and back , so can then get a train back to Leeds. Or else would have had to book somewhere to stay in Holmfirth, as would not have missed K Joke.
