Comfortable 8th place finish. And indeed, I've won the work sweepstakes; £12 for Germany winning, £1.50 for a half-share of first-team-out for Australia, plus another £3 for Germany scoring the most goals. Yay!

Is it just me or does Herr Loew bear a passing resemblance to back in t' day with his square jawline and dark mop of hair ? I tried to find a pic of Loew in shades but to no avail, so looked for pics of him as a player for any tell-tale signs of gothdom. Sadly all I could find were shots of him with the kind of moustache popularised in the UK by style icon Terry from Brookside.

It certainly has been fun. Next time one of these fantasy footie things comes up (hint hint) I might be in a state of mind where I can give it a bit more of my attention.
