Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

The Wire I haven't seen yet, but I got that 1st season somewhere.
My favourite series is Six Feet Under, but Sopranos are certainly top 5 for me too

The Wire was one of those series that so many of my friends & work colleagues were raving about that I purposely avoided it. When I finally got round to seeing it I realised I really should have followed the buzz.

You'll start the first series and take a couple of episodes wondering what all the fuss is about. Then next thing you know you've just spent a weekend lost to the entire last series and you really can't recall much other than The Wire inbetween.

It is as good as hype for once.

HP 7.1
For me, it's perfectly paced, very little flab and just enough humour to cut the hugely pervading bleakness. Not being at Hogwarts definitely works in the stories favour. Couldn't believe how frustratingly quickly 148mins flew by.

Trying to be as vague as possible to avoid a spoiler or two but the 'story' towards the end was beautifully animated and a nice surprise in amongst the 83% grey palette.

I've watched the first six on blu-ray in the last ten days so was very ready for this and it certainly didn't disappoint. My favourite of the set so far. Bring on HP 7.2 !

(Note: I know it's hardly cool to enthuse about the Potter stuff but frankly I don't care! ) ;D

Skyline

Without a shadow of a doubt one of the worst films I've seen in ages. No character depth or development at all, dire sub-tv acting, a rushed plot that went nowhere except from on set piece to another and an ending that, just for a moment, could have been really brave but then regrettably did things the Hollywood way instead. Was only 88min long and I was truly bored by about 30min in.

This is exactly why people pirate movies - if I'd paid to see this in the cinema I'd have been very pissed off! They really have to stop funding half-baked trash like this!

I have.
wasted an evening in London for it too

this might include spoilers so I recomend you DO read them

the movie tries to be so many things at the same time it ends up with nothing.
oh I loved the huge fight scenes. hundereds of airplanes and spaceships (all cgi) VS the huge army of actors playing the human army (3)
the glowing brains, the aliens that are taken strait from independents day, the flying humans, the fact a nuke explodes that close with no result what so ever.

oh and the end is like the intro to a videogame, it could have been brave if you didn't know how it would end after the opening shot.
