As recommended by Stephen King. He also recommended Godless as would I. Authored by the same team as what done Queens Gambit.

I loved Godless & The Queen's Gambit was a massive surprise. Never thought chess could be that gripping.

Back bar of the Wren's on a Friday night, or Netflix.
Enjoying Wilds... Amazon... Which I thought would be lord of the flies for boys, but is altogether more cliched. And yet still holds together somehow

Finally getting around to watching this sequel to Avatar: the last airbender.
Watched the first couple of episodes when it came out but it was so different in tone to the original Avatar series that I struggled with it, but after having not watched either fir a few years it's easier to judge on it's own merits. Really enjoying it so far.

Oh it’s that one from a few years ago. Watched that and yes it’s brilliant. Geez watched so much TV the last couple of years I don’t know what I’ve seen any more
Last night I squeezed in a sneaky episode of This Is Football on Amazon Prime. Really good. First episode about Rwanda Reds Liverpool fan club. Think @swinnow will enjoy this. I’ll admit I did shed a tear or three at the end
Looking forward to the Iceland episode

Yes, this was wall to wall laughs, but we all agreed (sarcastically) some of it was all a little too soon and too close to the truth to be taken as comedy

I expected the "Auld Discworld/PTerry Fan" in me to be absolutely Furious after seeing the 1st 2 Episodes, but the "more reasonable" side of me thinks that so far it's not actually as Bad as everyone had suspected. I'm impressed with Cheery and Angua, but require more viewing before I can decide on some of the other Characters (some are missing and others greatly changed from their appearance in the Books)...
Just remember the "Inspired by Characters created by Terry Pratchett" in the Opening Credits, that it's not a direct Book to TV Portrayal and I'm finding it bearable.

I'm still in two minds over this. It's....er....interesting.
I'm sticking with it just to satisfy myself it isn't as bad as I think it is

Okay but the voice acting is dreadful. Would have preferred subtitles. Absolutely dreadful. Story is okay and the cinematography is gorgeous but the acting......woeful

Can't you change the option to have original audio and english subtitles? I did (watching in UK).
Very much enjoyed it. Reminded me a bit of the interaction between the two main characters in The Bridge.

Really?!?! That would be awesome. I’ll check tonight. I’m on my own to finish the rest of the series. My wife and kid have abandoned me and given up on it. Never did see the Bridge but the same guy that recommended Valhalla recommended that too. Sounds good. Cheers for the tip, I hope it works over here. Can’t see why it wouldn’t

Great casting again this season. Actually makes have a (tiny) bit of sympathy for the royals. Thatcher on the other hand. Yep, she’s still a cnut although Gillian Anderson’s portrayal adds some complexity to the character. You understand why she’s such a tough bitch. And you wonder why such a humble person from working class roots hated the working class so much. They glossed over the Falkland war a bit though. Never really mentioned all the deaths and the sinking of the navy ship.
